Widemouth Manor

Great location, just a short walk or drive to the nearby beach. Lovely venue Widemouth Manor is well positioned, has great grounds and outside space, private parking and bar and restaurant. The room was, on first impressions clean, tidy and well presented with sea views, ensuite shower room, tv, tea/coffee facilities and a welcoming bottle of bubbly. 🥰 Bed was comfortable, however duvet was way too hot, possibly was a winter tog duvet rather than a lighter version and we didn’t sleep too well due to this. Shower needed a much better clean inside around the door and the sealant needs replenishing. On departure I always ***** the bed and found the mattress protector had blood and ‘other’ stains on it which is unacceptable to find and how anyone can make a bed up fresh and clean yet leave a filthy mattress protector under fresh bedding is beyond comprehension! Breakfast was a dull and uninspiring experience, very limited menu choice of cooked options, and no continental/cereals/fruit/yoghurt choice whatsoever. Just a plate of cooked breakfast, toast, tea, coffee, juice. No extra toast offered or jams or preserves. However the cooked breakfast was hot and tasty. All in all, the stay was, imo overpriced for what it was by around £50 too much.

Just back from another great 4 day stay with friends at Widmouth Manor , as always the Management team and staff are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you , nothing is too much trouble.The room was very clean and spacious, We ate in the restaurant every night, every meal was amazing and could not fault it. As always the stay was so good we have booked again for next year.

The service was great however the food is so bad, everyone’s meal looked and tasted like it had come Out of the freezer and straight in the oven…chips were like aunt Bessie’s and fish was like Birds Eye , curry tasted like it was from a tin etc won’t be returning

I must say a great little hotel. Immediately on arrival we were welcomed by the friendly staff and visitors/locals of the hotel. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable and clean. The shower however definitely was far too small. We booked a meal in the restaurant and the food was delicious, hot and freshly cooked. They even warm the plates as well. Breakfast was included in the price and again that was lovely and freshly cooked. There are some amazing views to wake up to in the morning and is close to the beach. All in all a great little place and I would definitely stay again.

We did not stay here although I think we would love to on another visit to Cornwall, we had dinner here the portions were a good size and the food was tasty! There was a beautiful view from the restaurant which overlooks widemouth Bay and there is a lounge upstairs that opens on a Friday and Saturday for drinks which looks beautiful! We would love to return!

Lovely food with good choice on the menu and excellent service. The garden room is a very pleasant area and our dog was made very welcome there. Would definitely recommend eating here. Large car park. Can’t comment on the views as we went at night.

Very poor and very expensive macaroni cheese £16 ! Music stuck on a loop so it was continuously bye bye Mr American Pie this will be the day you die. In the end we gad to tell them it was stuck only 3 tables aside from ours had diners and no one else about. Staff continuously singing along to American Pie. It was awful. Would never go there again. It was once upon a time a happy place we a good menu, the decor is also horrible bits of stuff stuck all over the ceiling

We arrived at Widemouth Bay on the Friday and booked Sunday Lunch here, lovely place, staff well trained and very friendly, the carvery was gorgeous and the beef just cut like butter, definitely recommend coming here the food is great and staff can’t do enough for you 😊👍

One of the most bizarre hotel stays ever, we were informed prior that the bar and restaurant would be closed on the Sunday at 6pm, no problem we thought, what they didn’t tell us is that there would be absolutely no staff at all. We had the keys to let ourselves in to a completely empty hotel, no staff, no guests, Nice looking place but ever again.
