I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elite World Grand Hotel, conveniently located on Basin Ekspres in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. The hotel has 270 rooms and was built in the mid 1970’s, and recently updated. Giving this hotel a 4.2 hinge rating, and is only that low because neither of us could figure how to get the shower to work, otherwise it is a very nice modern hotel. We are in room 601 and a nice King bed following 10 days on the boat with separate beds. One interesting thing is the outside walls of the structure are 4 ft thick (inside the window through a long opening) unknown if it is for insulation or what. There is an additional 1 ft thick addition space that Tom believes is for ventilation services (total outside to inside wall is 5 ft). Very nice indoor pool.
