We have just returned from an amazing time here. The place is lovely, full of Italian charm. The hotel is so close to the funicular and the ordinary railway it’s a great base to stay in. Chiara our host on reception was incredibly helpful, pleasant and funny. Breakfast was great and as much as you wanted. The view from the bedroom is unreal. Would go back tomorrow if I could!

Great location at the top of the funicolare only 70 metres to the hotel. We had a lovely comfortable room overlooking Como with a lovely balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exceptional, Chiara looked after us really well and gave us some good useful advice. The breakfast was very nice with lots of choice and good quality food. Thanks to Rocco and the rest of the great staff. We enjoyed our stay so much and will definitely be back at some time in the future. We stayed for 5 nights and used the funicolare many times to go up and down to Como. We bought a weekly pass and this allowed us unlimited trips and priority access which allowed us to bypass the queues who were using the "buy on the day tickets".

What a perfect spot and amazing view of Como and Lake Como. While navigating the roads is daunting and parking should be arranged with the hotel (and costs extra), it is easy to reach this hotel by Funiculare. The rooms were clean and the views were amazing. The area restaurants were delicious (but make a reservation). Chiara was kind and helpful. Answering all of our questions. The morning coffee and breakfast was delicious. I would definitely go back again!!

We arrived and were promptly greeted by Gione's smiling face. He quickly checked us in and helped my husband with our bags, which no one else has done anywhere we've stayed in Italy this past month. He made us feel right at home. He had restaurant recommendations (which we used and they were perfect) ready and a map of the area. He showed us to our room which was very clean, nice comfortable size, great shower and bathroom and the beds and pillows were very comfortable making good sleeping for 4 nights! The view was beautiful day and night and exactly as described and shown in photos. The breakfast was incredible each day with fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses, meats, cereal, tea, coffee and even scrambled eggs cooked to perfection. Every staff member we met spoke English as well as Italian and I believe some spoke French and German too. They were all friendly, kind, helpful with directions even to the post office. The cared about our comfort and needs each day. First morning there Gione had sight seeing recommendations based on what we wanted to see and do and he gave excellent directions. Vista Lago was perfect in everyway for our stay. We felt it was excellent value for money spent and will be back!

State at Vista Lago as a family of four on our way travelling back through Italy to the UK. We loved the area and the stunning views really made the trek up the mountain roads worth it. Hotel is clean and had all the facilities we needed as well as fans for the warm weather. We couldn’t stop for breakfast which was included but the lovely lady gave us some breakfast and waters to take for our journey. Very very welcoming hosts from arrival to departure

Très bel hôtel situé dans la charmante ville de Brunate. Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits avec 2 enfants en bas âge. Nous avons ete accueillis par Chiara et les patrons de l'hôtel, un super accueil à l'italienne, chaleureux et bienveillant. Chiara est juste topissime et à votre écoute pour tous renseignements. Les chambres disposent d'une très belle vue sur le lac et la ville de Come, elles sont propres et bien entretenues. Le petit déjeuner est tres bien également et largement suffisant en terme de choix. A choisir entre Come et Brunate je vous conseille vivement de faire le choix de ce petit village aux rues pavés et idéales pour des balades dépaysantes. Merci aux patrons de cet hôtel et à chiara grâce à qui notre séjour a été sublimé. La famille Puccini

Hotel disfrazado de pensión! Camas con colchones deformados imposible descansar. Limpieza inexistente. Calefacción apagada a finales de Octubre, pasando frío. La carretera peligrosisima. Y para remate recibimos el peor trato por parte de la recepcionista , que se puede dar. Clara discriminación hacia españoles en comparación con huéspedes de otras países.

Estuvimos 6 días alojados en este “HOTEL “ q no es un hotel es una pensión mala . Empezamos diciendo q la carretera para llegar al hotel es matadora muy mala el hotel la señora q nos atiende mal educada y grosera y enfadadísima por que no sabíamos hablar inglés no le gustan los españoles ,la calefacción no funciona en 4 días un frío horrible, la tele no funciona y la habitación sucia MUY MUY MAL LA PEOR ESPERIENCIA Q HE TENIDO

Ottima vista Lago. Posto romantico. Staff eccellente e disponibile. Posto fuori dalla routine quotidiana. Utile per chi vuole passare dei giorni di puro relax e lontano dallo stress urbano. Camere confortevoli. Ottima colazione. Utile il parcheggio della struttura,riservato e a pagamento.
