We had a fantastic stay at The Hotel Botaniek, the location is amazing, 5 mins walk into the main centre, rooms were very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, the hosts were excellent and very attentive. If you drive, park the car in the underground car park, 2 mins walk and 15 euros a day

We stayed here for 4 nights over the Xmas period. It was just as we had expected from the reviews we had read previous to our trip. The owner, Brend, is truly a funny guy, but also a great, hard working host, very helpfull. We had a great time here. If you are expecting 5 star surroundings for 3 star money, then forget it. What you will get however, is fantastic hospitality, a clean room, with a fantastic comfy bed, complete with a tv and tea making facilities. The hotel is tucked away just literally a short walk from the main town square. The nearby car park costs €15 per 24hours of parking, which is a lot cheaper than having your car towed away, as they are very strict on the parking regulations in Belgium. For a “homely” get away, I would fully recommend this hotel.

Great location and very comfortable, perfect for a short break. The rooms and parts of the hotel are a bit tired in places, but it is a charming hotel with tasteful decor. The host is wonderful, very friendly, very helpful. Breakfast was good, just the right amount, very attentive with tea and coffee etc too. Rooms have tea/coffee makers which was good too. All area are very clean. It is in a superb location, minutes from the main square, a cut through to the tanners square with lots of bars/restaurants and close to the canals.

This was my second stay and the first for my fellow travelers. It lived up to my experience of 8 years ago. Same owners/managers who are very friendly and helpful. There are stairs but also a small lift to get your luggage to your room or if you aren’t good with stairs. An included breakfast of cereal, breads, pastries, meats and cheeses. The rooms are small but comfortable and the shower has good pressure. The location is perfect-around the corner from Rozenhoedkaai which is the photo spot of Bruges. So you can have morning and evening pics with few people around. Both squares are 300-500m walk away. I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved our stay here during our European roadtrip. Great location, literally right around the corner from the underground parking and the city centre. Rooms spacious and comfortable, breakfast perfect. Very friendly owners and very accommodating. You can't go wrong!

Beautiful hotel in a great location. A few minutes walk to the centre of Bruges. Nearby parking. Great play park for kids a couple of minutes away. The hotel and room were beautiful and clean. The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive. Continental breakfast was very tasty. Bread still steaming as it was added to the buffet. Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely small hotel with large rooms and is run by a husband and wife team who are also the owners. The hotel is less than a five minute walk from the main square and most of the attractions of Bruges, placing you close to everything. A very nice breakfast is served in the homey breakfast room and the overall ambiance is quite nice. This was my second time staying here and I would not consider staying anywhere else if I return to Bruges.

Just a simple, but excellent family owned hotel with friendly staff, very comfortable rooms, great breakfast and coffee. French chateau style architecture, and extremely comfy beds. Spotless throughout. Excellent location and value.
