The laich moray hotel scores 10/10 great service fantastic food in fact we would definitely stay there again. They went out of their way to make our wedding day special. ๐ staff all very friendly. Oh and the breakfast gets 10/10 also. Amazing experience

1. This hotel is close to Tesco in Elgin. The location is actually very good. It is also very close to High Street. It is far from the church site, but it is still within walking distance.
2. The hotel was on the old site of a manor. When I first drove into the yard door, I was a little surprised. The environment was very good. The room is also very big and the bed is very classical. Facilities and software are very good.
3. Breakfast is a traditional English breakfast, the yard is large, very convenient for parking.
4. It is very convenient to drive to Spezai and other areas. I think it is more convenient to live in Elgin than in Dufftown.

The hotel is run down and in need of a refurbishment. The floors must also be quite thin as we could hear the room above us walking about quite heavily.

We booked this hotel as a couple for one night and had our small dog with us. We booked because it was cheap so the drawback was that they charged ยฃ25 for our dog, the most expensive dog hotel we have encountered and nothing was provided even though I had booked ahead. But other than that it was a good bed and breakfast experience. We didn't use the bar as we were tired and stayed in our room. Basic freeview on tv as usual but the internet connection was good. The hotel in the run up to Christmas was very quiet, although the walls were rather thin so we could hear other people. Being under-occupied this was not at all a problem but at busier times it might be. Everything was clean and tidy, plus there was usual teabags, instant coffee and biscuits for the room. Cooked Breakfast was great, freshly cooked to order and well done. One of the best we have had, and along with the buffet made a good start to the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but obviously not busy when we were there. The hotel was not adapted for anyone with mobility issues, I didn't see a lift and there were stairs to the rooms and to the bar and dining area. For us it was a good stop off and we enjoyed our night there.
