Travelodge Braintree

I stayed in braintree for 6 weeks and during my stay, I got to know several members of staff. Ones that stood out the most are wo brilliant and helpful ladies on reception, both called ciara and the assistant manager named JJ. All three were incredible helpful, polite and friendly, tailoring for any requirements I had, be it towels, pillows or a lamp, they were chatty and reliable. All 3 made me feel very welcome. The only down side was the manager seemed to be mildly unbothered towards helping me or being friendly in anyway, almost Stand offish, which wasnt brilliant, he couldn't even be bothered to put a pizza on a plate, instead just put it in a box, despite the fact I was sat in the restaurant. Overall it was a wonderful place to stay.

One of the best Travelodge's I have been too. Very easy access to all rooms and very clean. Staff were very good.

I don’t ordinarily write reviews, good service and standards should be the norm, however I was so impressed with the team at this hotel that I’m making the effort. I stayed for two nights and from the moment I checked in you tell this was going to be different. Mike the hotel manager was behind the front desk who stood up and welcomed with me with a smile and a good afternoon as I approached. I was asked if I’d visited before and when I said no I was treated to a full run down of what the hotel had to offer, reassurance that the desk was staffed all night long if I needed anything. I was told about the availability of breakfasts, evening meals, 24 hour pizza and drinks throughout my stay. I was there to attend a wedding and when I asked how far it was he reassured me it was just round the corner and the best way to get there. I didn’t spend much time at the hotel during my stay as we had events booked but everyone I came and went there was a cheerful face behind the counter. I had breakfast on the final day served by a young blonde lady and again, nothing was too much trouble. The food was appealing, the atmosphere relaxing and the restaurant was clean and well presented. I only live a short distance away so unlikely to need to stay again any time soon but if the need arises I will definitely look to stay again and can wholeheartedly recommend Braintree travelodge and its team to anyone looking to stay in Braintree.
