Came to see Valerie sing which was fabulous, unfortunately the bar staff are well below par, need to put a smile on their faces & definitely need better training, my friend asked for a glass of Merlot (red wine) they brought out a bottle of bubbles !!! Then said they didn’t have Merlot , I wanted just a glass of bubbles but was told I HAD to buy a bottle. On a positive HAPPY HR IS GREAT 😊

This is a workers camp, not a motel. I stayed there for 4 nights. My room got serviced once in that 4 days. They made the bed but didn't do any cleaning. The restaurant is supposed to be open until 8pm. I went to have dinner one night at 7:20pm and was told that the kitchen had already closed. I had to travel all the way in to Bowen to get something to eat. I also had to leave my trip a day early due to flooding. I was told by the hotel manager when I had to leave a day early that I would get a refund. She asked for my account details, which I gave her at the time. On the day I would have checked out received a message through ******* saying I had to change my trip through them. I tried that but because the message came through after I would have checked out anyway I couldn't change my booking. That was in December 2024. I paid for my entire 5 day stay at the time I checked in. We are now half way through April 2025 and I'm still chasing them for a one night refund. Pathetic operations management. I have been told it is my fault and that they won't be responding to my emails anymore.

Property is very close to my place of work. I will use this again for work purposes. Bathroom was a bit grubby, exhaust fan non operational and filthy. Air conditioning filthy and noisy. Ac remote non operative. Evacuation plan non existent. Until I found it on top of the wardrobe. Kettle missing cover over LED lights exposing electrical. Once the above items have been rectified, the room would be very suitable. Property over all is nice, modern and has boasting potential.

Very disappointing,our room still had food in the fridge,there was only 1 cup which was filthy,the shower still had a used soap in it,the room was hot,a pub that don't sell ice,they have keno but no A.T.M,you have to walk to servo to get cash and they don't serve shots,so never going back

Staying here for a week whilst working on a project not too far from here. All the staff are friendly, and there is a great selection of beers and premixed drinks. The food menu has plenty of options. Accommodation is fairly basic and clearly built for the FIFO crowd, but is clean and serviced daily. If you are going to stay here make sure you have access to a vehicle as there is nothing else here in Merinda. Nearest town is Bowen..
