Brand new house perfect for big groups or multiple families! Built in 2022, Big Fish Lodge is a beautifully decorated house just 3 blocks from the harbor and minutes to the Gulf. You’ll love how nice, new and clean this home is. The bedrooms are large and spacious, the house is gated, secluded and very private , over 1 acre property. There is nothing in Matagorda that compares. The house very comfortably sleeps 18. Outside you’ll find a covered pavilion with plenty of seating and a grill. Property is completely surrounded by bamboo for full privacy, feels like your in a tropical jungle. There is a guest house next door that can be rented as well. We expect shoes to be taken off and spills/messes to be cleaned up. Extra cleaning fees will be applied as needed. Guest house next door is also available for bookings, and is sometimes occupied . There is a private bath (BATH 1) off of the bedroom, and we provide large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Each bathroom has two rolls of toilet paper and a hair dryer. There is an additional twin bed but not counted as one of the eight sleeping spots. One dresser and end tables are provided. One TV with remote. There is no closet access as that is the owner's closet. Mermaid Room: We have a queen bed with a dresser and a sitting chair. There is a large closet with extra bedding. Room features a beautiful view of the waterfront. Side table with TV and a remote. Texas Room: We have a full bed with a large closet and a side chair. Room features a beautiful view of the waterfront. Side table with TV and a remote. Game Room: Game room features a TV with remote, electronic dart board, smaller ping pong table, fishing rod holder, small couch/futon, and breakfast table with great view of the ocean. There is an electric fireplace that has light and heat. Queen-sized futon with coils folds out for a comfortable nights sleep. There is a newly remodeled bathroom off the living room (BATH 2). Hall bath (BATH 3): This is bath off of kitchen. We provide large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Each bathroom has two rolls of toilet paper and a hair dryer. Kitchen: Fully stocked kitchen to include insta pot, air fryer, coffee pot, Keurig, crock pot, toaster, and electric can opener. We have all kinds of pots and roasters. You can fish from shore in the surf or make a short boat ride to East Matagorda Bay. Park your boat by the pier in the back yard or fish from it day and night. Make a short drive to Sargent Beach just 6 miles away for some waves and fun. This house has parking on site and accommodates keyless entry for guests. The fully furnished kitchen includes a dishwasher, dish soap, K-cup and ground brew coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishes, utensils, and pots/pans. The downstairs room has Wii and other games for the kids and adults, alike. Outside, you'll find a charcoal BBQ grill, picnic table, and bar stool chairs. The deck provides a beautiful view of the sunset and the perfect spot for that first cup of morning coffee. Rental includes bath and bed linens for the house, but we ask you to bring towels and blankets for the beach.
