Do everything you can to avoid having anything to do with this place. Extortionately expensive, with zero interest in delivering a quality service. I paid 3700 euros for 7 nights, just for a room, no breakfast. Rooms are nice, good view, comfortable beds etc, but plenty of things broken: the safe, the phone, the parasol had a broken spoke, no soap or shampoo/conditioner, only 2 cups, when we were 3… etc. all of which doesn’t exactly shout 4 star! I was astounded when reception told me that breakfast wasn’t included in the rate, and would cost 23 euros per person, per day. This would mean an additional 483 euros (this is the same price as the Barrière Fouquet hotel on the Champs Élysées!). I spoke at length to 4 different members of staff to ask if this could be included, all of whom nodded along and said they’d see what they could do, but no resolution or conversation resulted. Consequently, we ate breakfast outside the hotel every day at about tenth of the price. The rudest of the staff was their head receptionist who went to great lengths to explain why I was wrong about everything and was so rude and aggressive that I actually walked away whilst she was raising her voice at me. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner and was met with finger wagging ‘that is private information madam’. On the last day a man who said he was one of the co-owners said they could have ‘sorted something out’ on the breakfast problem, but that I had ‘spoken to the wrong person about it’. - despite me speaking to 4 different members of staff.’ The only person there who was friendly and polite was a lovely lady called Cindy. I have read several other reviews and it’s clear that the owners have invested in the property via a grant, but that’s where it stops. They have no interest in actually running a hotel, and the price is ridiculous for serviced rooms, which is what they are. You’re better off staying in one of the hotels near Deshaie or renting a villa. Whatever you do, don’t come here.
