Chilston Park Hotel

I did not stay in the hotel only went for afternoon tea celebrating my birthday. They gave me a nice spot in front the fire. The afternoon tea was here k was the festive option. The scones were delicious, the sausage roll good quality, I will say the selection of mini cakes were a bit too sweet for me. They have a great variety of tea. Service was okay. They forgot to offer me sugar for my tea or an extra set of cutlery I ate some salmon sandwiches and then with the same knife I had to apply the cream for the scones not. Extra spoons for the cream and jam . Toilets were ok. You can pay with car or cash. I loved the relaxing music and the grounds. You definitely need a car to reach this place.

Visited Chilston Park for traditional Sunday lunch. Excellent venue and the staff were so attentive and helpful. Serenaded by the lovely Rachel who sang a wide variety of genres. Food was delicious. Only small criticism is have the horseradish and mint sauce more accessible. Food was delivered and we were asked if we wanted sauces only then to wait a 2 minutes (seemed longer) for them to be delivered! Will definitely be back though.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by English countryside . A really relaxed atmosphere & friendly , attentive staff including Matt , Nathan & helpful reception staff . We needed extra keys & photos taken - nothing was too much trouble . Food was also lovely and they take cash which is important to me .

I’m writing this review whilst sitting in my beautiful room, listening to the sound of birdsong! 10/10 from start to finish. The staff are friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable- Matt, Nathan and the fabulous guys on reception- thank you! Room- beautiful! Slept well on the comfortable bed and loved the fact that both rooms were different. The perfect country getaway with friends. It was my friends’ first stay here and they were bowled over! We shall definitely return!

Our room was underwhelming but as a wedding venue it was excellent. Stayed at the hotel for a friends wedding, everything was fine on arrival, simple check-in process however we didn`t visit our room until the celebrations were over which had I have done then I would maybe be leaving a slightly different review. The room seemed considerably smaller than what`s advertised on the website, I was of the understanding based our the room rate that we would be staying in one of the Manor House executive doubles, the room we stayed in felt very small and in my opinion appeared to more inline with the Mews classic double image which is a considerably cheaper rate than the one i paid. The rooms bathroom was also very dated and in serious need of an update, I appreciate the decor and design of the rooms is not supposed to be contemporary or modern but the fixtures and fittings as well as the general appearance needs attention and updating. Finally, the water pressure of the shower was not good, having turned on the shower the water literally dribbled out of the shower head. Because we were checking out that morning and needing to be elsehwere for Mothers Day I didnt contact the reception to report the therefore not giving them an opportunity to investigate and possible rectify the problem, however Im not sure how they would have been able to improve the water pressure ? I recently stayed at chilston park hotel for a number of days due to work. I can only describe my experience as faultless. The friendliness, and professionalism from the entire team was a standout. Nathan and Matt were always available to assist with any request, and very prompt. The food was consistently outstanding, my room was spacious, immaculately cleaned and very comfortable. The grounds looked to be very well maintained and very pleasant to walk around. I would give the highest recommendation, and would more than happily stay here again
