Clifftop Exclusive Safari Hideaway

Everything was so fantastic! Well.., except the weather as ut was raining almost the whole time. The safaris, the food, the staff, all so nice! Special thanks to JD, he was fun, nice and knows so much about the animals and the nature. The food was really good and we had every night a different table next to a so cosy fireplace. Our room was number 1 and we had total privacy there. Love!

This is the best experience of lots of amazing experiences we have had. It was a bucket list experience for my wife so a lot to live up to, however, not only did it meet our expectations it certainly went above and beyond. From arriving at Clifftop we were met by Steven and Gilda very charming welcoming and friendly the perfect start, despite arriving late due to hold ups we were treated to a game drive and what a start, our guide was fantastic, knowledgable and professional, we saw 3 of the big 5, Rhino, Buffalo and even though a glimpse the elusive Leopard. On our return our cases were in our room and what a location the room was fantastic, it had spectacular views of the valley. After a long drive out to Welgevonden and a Game drive we were treated to the most amazing dinner attended by the friendly genuine entertaining staff, who were on hand all through our stay, so praise must go to Nicholas, Patrick, Isaac and the rest of the team for making every meal special. The morning game drives started at 6am so bleary eyed we were met by Tyrone for our first and all subsequent drives, in line with everything at Clifftops Tyrone epitomised the professional nature, joy and desire to ensure we had an unforgettable experience, this he managed to fulfil with his knowledge and skills, he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything possible, nature being what it is we didn’t expect to be treated to so many different awe inspiring moments from Rhinos on the road blocking our way, to sunrises and sunsets full of amazing colours to Lions hunting Warthogs and a herd of Elephant that appeared to come out of nowhere along with coffee and sundowners in the bush. Thank you all at Clifftops for making it absolutely memorable.

From the moment you arrive, the service is just exceptional. Steve and Gilda are absolute gems and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Chantal was absolutely amazing and made sure we were well taken care of the entire weekend. The rooms are very spacious with so many seating places to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. From flowing drinks the entire weekend from our butlers to delicious meals prepared throughout the day and thanks to Tyrone for the lovely game drives where we got to see Lions ,lots of Rhino’s and other game, he is really passionate about his work and very entertaining. Clifftop is definitely a must visit, I cannot wait to go back again. Thank you to everyone at Clifftop for making our weekend so memorable.

Brilliant Safari weekend we had, the hotel staff was amazing, the hotel excellent, the views from the Villa are breathtaking. Overall a weekend my partner and I will always keep dear to our hearts. Wow wow wow

This place is exceptional! From the minute we arrived we felt completely relaxed and in heaven. The attention to small details is amazing. The view from the lodge is exquisite, and our room was gorgeous (inside and out). You get the feeling immediately of being away from society and just being surrounded by the bush. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The food was great. And the game drives were a wonderful experience, from the animals, coffee and drink stops in the bush (the snacks on the drive were amazing) and our guide (Tyron) were really informative. Best holiday destination.

This was our first but not last safari. The location, safaris, accommodation and service was excellent. Its location made it an easy drive from Tambo Airport and every effort was made by the staff to make the experience special.
