Amarillo Guesthouse

We booked to stay for our anniversary. We have tried to book before, but they have always been fully booked, and we know why that is now. We stayed in the Hengistbury room, which had a very comfortable kingsize bed with an ensuite shower/toilet, tv, fridge, and kettle with tea/coffee. The decor was stunning and the room was bright during the day and cosy in the evening. Jane and Ged, the owners were really friendly and very accomodating with great communication and info before our stay. When we arrived a lovely lady next door came out and kindly said for us to park on her drive. We loved our stay, and we are already looking to book again.

This is the second time we have stayed at this wonderful little guesthouse in two months. Everytime we have been given the warmest welcome. Rooms are all different but equally lovely. We have found them to be clean with crisp white linen. We have easily parked either outside the property or on the road without problem. We will be back time and again 🥰 Thanks Jane and Ged for your hospitality 🏡

What a beautiful little b&b. We only stayed for one night ,we had a lovely warm room on what was a very cold day . The shower was very good. We didn’t have breakfast as we were meeting our grandaughter before heading home. Thank you Jane & Ged for a very comfortable visit.

From the moment we arrived to the time we left, we felt at home. Jane and Jed made us feel like one of the family. The property is wonderfully decorated and was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was excellent with a huge choice and we wanted for nothing. I thoroughly recommend the Amarillo Guesthouse and will definitely be returning.

We loved our short stay (3 nights) at The Amarillo. This gorgeous B&B stands out from all others in every way. The owners, Jane and Jed are welcoming and full of great ideas, offering their advice on where to visit and eat - all tried and tested by them so they know what they are talking about. Parking available and also free parking on the road. The room we stayed in (room 2) was perfect for our stay - beautifully decorated- and a fabulous shower. The entrance to the B&B is lovely and everywhere was spotless. Breakfast is fantastic. Different items arrived each day, great choice and beautifully presented. The beach is 10 mins walk - easy to get to, down the zig zag, and you arrive at a sandy, clean and happy beach. We would stay at the Amarillo again and genuinely hope to do so. If you are thinking of staying in Bournemouth then The Amarillo should be top of your list. A very huge thank you to Jane and Jed.

What a great little find! We were desperate for a short break, and to see the sea, so we booked the Amarillo based on the reviews it had received. All of the reviews are very justified, the property is in a fantastic location to access the town centre, the beach and the railway station in order to explore some more of Dorset. The owners of the property, Jane and Ged, are some of the most helpful and informative people you will ever meet. The recommendations provided made our trip easy and enjoyable, from bus routes to restaurant recommendations. The stay was without fault. Parking was very easy (and we were kindly allowed to leave our car there after checkout), the continental breakfasts were very good, the property was spotlessly clean and the hosts were brilliant. We stayed in room 8 which is the room stating "private bathroom". This room's bathroom is a very short distance from the room itself and caused no issue at all, a robe was even provided to make the short journey! One small word of advice to anyone booking, the ceiling to this room is very low in places, and myself being 6ft + made it slightly difficult at times. THIS IS NOT A NEGATIVE, if you are slightly taller then I would very highly advise that you book one of the other rooms, because the stay is definitely worth it.
