Myself, my wife and 12-year-old son just returned to Colorado from a week at the Isla Verde in Boquete. We stayed in one of the large round-houses that had a small kitchenette, a large bathroom and a sleeping loft for our son. Our stay there was wonderful. We had made firm reservations back in December 05 via email/phone and had absolutely no problem with availability when we arrived. I had read the couple of other reviews stating they had reservation problems - but I have found there is a huge difference between making a casual inquiry as to possible dates - and making a firm reservation. Eva and her staff were fantastic, the grounds were gorgeous and meticulously groomed and maintained. We enjoyed breakfast there (in the dome breakfast area) several mornings. The fruit was perfectly ripe, the bread was fresh baked, and they prepared our eggs and pancakes right there in the dome – we never walked away hungry. After doing the tree-trek canopy cable thing two days in a row, my wife and I took full advantage of the on-site massage therapist – the best massages either of us have ever had! On top of all that, Isla Verde is literally only a block or two from the main street in Boquete – a very short walk indeed. And, yes, they have free wireless broadband available on the grounds if you bring your laptop. When we go back to Boquete (a remarkable place), we are definitely staying at the Isla Verde again.
