Oasis Bluff Beach

My husband and I spent 7 nights at this beautiful hotel and loved every minute of it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, Elias and his team went above and beyond to make a milestone birthday celebration one I will never forget. The new owner's brother Michael and his lovely girlfriend Alexandra stepped in to help run the resort while he was out, and they handled the task like seasoned professionals. The View restaurant offered a varied nightly dinner menu, and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Yellowfin tuna and mahi mahi, absolutely amazing. Specialty drinks were made perfectly, and they have the coldest cervesa in town! Our room was very comfortable and clean, and the balcony provided the perfect spot to watch the sunrise. Steps away from the beach, the sound of crashing waves lull you to sleep. Hummingbirds fluttered about all around the property, sloths hanging out in the trees and daily visits from howler monkeys were a treat! I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel if you're planning a trip to Bocas. We look forward to returning for another adventure in this piece if paradise!

I don’t normally write reviews but this place deserves one. The warm and welcoming hospitality and secluded location across from a surf beach are fantastic if you want to relax. Bluff is one of my favourite beaches in Bocas. (And I’m Aussie so I know my beaches). Don’t miss sunrise - the long beach is perfect for a morning stroll. As it was rather quiet when I checked in, I was generously upgraded to the Jungle room on the second floor. Two litres of water in the room were replenished daily. There’s air con and a fan to keep you cool. There’s a swimming pool next door that you’re able to use (the owners bought that place). There are pool tables and other games on the ground floor to keep you entertained on rainy days. There’s a collectivo that runs a few times a day from town (leaving the park at 8am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm during rainy season or at least during my stay). It’s $3.50 or a can is $15. Bike rentals could be something to consider - I would have loved the option to take one into town or down the Jungle hwy to La Piscina. What everyone says about the food is true - the cooks know what they’re doing. I ate some variation of the mahi mahi for all three dinners because it was just so darn delicious. Breakfast was so filling that I only needed a light lunch. On my last morning, I had an early departure and the kitchen kindly made me a sandwich for the road. All the staff learned my name, and showed genuine interest in ensuring I had the best stay possible. If I ever return to Bocas, I won’t stay anywhere else.

Visited with my friend from New York for a week and had the best stay at Oasis! Great location just a ~15 min drive from town. The views from the property are beautiful, with what feels like a private beach right in the backyard. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food is delicious. The restaurant onsite has a rotating menu, so you don’t have to go far for some of the best food in Bocas. Staff is super friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel right at home. HIGHLY recommend for anyone looking for a restorative getaway by the beach.

This is the third time I've been to Oasis Bluff Beach in the last 5 years, and when we showed up, we were a bit surprised to find that the wonderful previous owners Simon and Wendy has sold the hotel to a new owner. But any worry we had quickly dissipated, as Paul, the new owner, kept up the same great service we had come to expect, along with some modern renovations to the hotel, including adding air conditioning to some rooms (not really needed at night, but it's helpful during the day). All of the touches remain the same, from the great English style breakfast (with some Panamanian options added as well), to the amazing and affordable View Restaurant, which is the only place you'll need to eat on the island. Paul and his manager Elias went the extra mile to meet all of our needs, including booking us a private boat tour and coordinating our taxi transportation to and from town. Paul really went the extra mile to ensure that the hotel had a TV set up for Super Bowl viewing, something that my wife and I really wanted to enjoy. He and his team were running around the resort, hanging wires and ensuring everything was working to get it up and running in time for kick off. There really aren't any negatives of Oasis Bluff Beach, just a few things to know before you go to make sure it's right for you. The first is that Bluff Beach is about 30 minutes from town. To get to and from town, you can take a pick up truck taxi. The road is rough though, so be prepared for a bumpy ride any time you want to go into Bocas Town. The second is that Oasis is a B&B for people who want a relaxing experience and to enjoy the quiet. By 10pm-11pm, everything is shut off at the hotel and everyone is in their rooms or asleep. If you are a late night party person, this probably isn't the right hotel for you. But for us, the quiet and seclusion is a big part of its charm.

We felt like family from the moment we got there. Everyone was lovely and real. The view speaks for itself!!! The food , the view , and hospitality were top notch. If you are lucky enough to have time there on Sunday you can join their barbecue. Locals and other guests come to enjoy the family like back yard bbq on one of the most beautiful beaches you can picture with some competitive, friendly volleyball , drinks and talking to folks from around the world 😎😎

I totally recommend this hotel! The attention to detail from Elias ( General Manager) and Paul ( The owner) was amazing. The food and service were great. Quiet location away from downtown, and the beach is a Surfer's Paradise. 20 mins from the airport and Selina tours!

Oasis is phenomenal. Great clean rooms. Amazing food. Friendliest staff. One of the most serene and relaxing family trips we’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone looking drop out for a few days in the jungle! Tip: rent a quad and trek to Blue Lagoon and La Piscina for some swimming like no other relaxation.

What a beautiful place to stay! This was our first trip tp Bocas but it will not be our last. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The team at Oasis creates a welcoming environment and makes you fell part of the family. All the small details are taken care including fresh water daily via personal water bottles, daily room cleaning, morning coffee, made fresh to order breakfast. They accommodated laundry requests and picnic lunches. Really anything we asked for they were happy to assist with. Oasis is in a beautiful location within walking distance to beach, jungles, and bars. The taxi ride to town is bumpy and a bit slow but worth it to be out in paradise.

My husband and I stayed at Oasis Bluff Beach Hotel last month. Our spacious room was clean, very comfortable, and well appointed with attractive furnishings. We were immediately made to feel welcome at this well-run establishment. We enjoyed excellent service and the tasty, creative meals served at the hotel's own restaurant. This is a destination hotel in a peaceful location, across from a pristine surfing beach, and within a taxi ride to Bocas Town. I would recommend it highly.
