Vila Bled no longer lives up to their reputation. Like many old hotels, their prime has passed. Our shower leaked, which flooded the bathroom. The front desk could not be bothered with this issue. The front desk could not send up housekeeping,spare towels, nor come take a look himself. I attempted to reach the front desk 12 times over 5 hours to make sure they were aware of the standing water, no answer. Finally went down, and no one was at the front desk. He was nowhere to be found. Finally the night front desk was concerned enough to let us know the handyman would be at the room first thing in the morning. Handyman did come. But only slight improvement to the problem. Unfortunately due to Vila Bled's disregard of safety and lack of follow through, the flooding continued the next day. I slipped in the bathroom. I again let them know this is a safety issue and why. They yet again could not be bothered to do anything about it. Be careful if you stay here. If they try to assign you room 208, ask if the shower was ever fixed... They knew about the issue for weeks before we stayed there. Yet again, did nothing.
