The staff was very nice and friendly service. Did not like that there is no pool, as the website I looked at had pictures of a pool and jacuzzi. I had 2 children with my party and one of the reasons I booked was to let them swim in the pool.
Breakfast was good and check-in was easy.

Recommend! I travel a lot for business and every once in a while, I find a place that’s so hospitable a one night stay turns into two. This is that place. The people here are extremely professional, accommodating, and highly knowledgeable about the area. Beyond that, they’re eager to help. Kat at the front desk goes above and beyond to make sure that your travel and accommodations are smooth. Rebecca makes sure you have a full tummy, and they both start your day with a smile.

The hotel is under renovation. I stayed here prior to the renovation and during. They painted the room. That’s about the extent of what I witnessed. Old furniture, carpet and bathrooms exist still. I certainly hope there are more updates coming. I will say my room was slightly cleaner than my last visit which was awful. However, this was a company conference and I had no choice in where to stay. The bar/kitchen area was closed during this trip. They still served breakfast in the morning but I didn’t partake. The self-serve coffee and grounds in it and was weak. I ended up leaving and getting coffee elsewhere before my conference. I certainly hope that there are improvements made throughout the renovation and before my next visit.

STAY AWAY!!!! THIS HOTEL IS DISGUSTING. Had to stay here due to work at the convention center. Location is good, but hotel is the worst I have ever stayed at. It was a Marriott but obviously not that level of quality of room. The front desk clerks are geat but I feel bad for offering such a bad product. Excuses of going under renovations. I told them they should tear it down and rebuild. First stay first room had unusual blood stains in Room 214 and suspected possible bed bugs. Rejected this room outright. Got another room, 229, no blood but barely passable under black light. Yes I am one of those people that uses a black light to check for cleanliness. There was an usual stain, probably urine. It was on the underside of the mattress. Yes I check everything. Decided it was late and stayed. Had to come back for business a second time tonight and they tried to give me a room next to suspected bed bug room and said no outright. Got a room on the first floor, 133. Checked in and they said there was just a fire outside. Like ***. Clerk was nice but again selling a bad product. I could not even get into the room to see. There was this strange black almost burning in the carpet. I refused room and went to holiday inn express across the street. Much cleaner and nicer. AGAIN DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!

This is probably the best hotel we have stayed in Altoona Pennsylvania. Jamie at the front desk is very warm and welcoming. She is so helpful. Chris made us a very tasty breakfast with so many options, fresh and delicious. The room was comfortable and clean. We will be sure to go back.

I really enjoyed our stay here. My 5 yr. old son and I loved the comfortable beds. The only drawback was that, although tipping the housekeeping staff, our room was not attended to for one of our 7 day stay.

I've stayed at a lot of Courtyard Marriott over the years and this one ranks up there as one of the better ones. The lobby is big and spacious. Real easy to hang out either in the Bistro area or their other lounging area. I stayed on the first floor and was surprised that my room had a spa in the room. Color me shocked. The WiFi at the hotel worked well. I did a few VoIP/video calls and never had an issue. The staff is very friendly - always greeting you as you come in and wishing you a good day when you leave. It's right next to the convention center which I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing, but since there was not activity there, I guess it was a good thing. At the bottom of the hill, there's a Walmart and Sam's Club as well as a number of restaurants like Friendly's and Outback Steakhouse, and little bit further down the road is a Champs Sports Bar, Denny's, and other fast food places. The workout room a bit bigger than your average Courtyard workout room. A few treadmills, an elliptical and stationary bike, plus some dumbbells. The parking lot seemed a bit small for the size of the hotel, but I was always able to find parking. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Altoona.

The front desk and team are super friendly and helpful. Great customer service. My room was tired and worn. Outlets are shot and not able to charge your phone and computer at certain outlets in room. disappointed since courtyard standards are welcome high. Upgrade the rooms or sell it-Marriott is better than this.

It was my birthday weekend and it was my first time also in Pennsylvania, and I love that. I had fun, the hotel was clean it had nice bars, the rooms were nice and I really enjoyed it. It was a nice area to just relax and Lounge even outside. The front desk clerks were nice and helpful.
