Federation Gardens & Possums Hideaway

Magnificent couple retreat where you are able to create special memories for you and your partner. There are multiple activities on the premises that you can choose to take part in or you can relax in your amazing accommodation, with a real log fire blazing away. There is spectacular walk next to the property that is divine and the Manager Jess is the epitome of happiness and desire to make your stay wonderful. It's heaven for a couple, away from the noise and bustle of city life.

So pleased to have had the opportunity to stay in Federation Gardens as we had to cancel our annual visit earlier in the year. Jess did her usual wonderful job of looking after us and we enjoyed relaxing in and around the property as well as exploring local tracks and Blackheath. The accomodation was clean, well equiped and very comfortable . We look forward to our next visit !

Great cabin everything you need for a great night or two with a partner ( no kids ) lol It has everything in the cabin you need and well maintained. It was great to put the fire place on and just relax, the wildlife is great and so peaceful. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times over the last 22 years and loved it every time. Worth the stay and close to bush walks and the Rhododendron gardens so pretty at this time of the year !!

We had a great family weekend here. 4 adults and 3 kids piled into Pine Cottage #3. It was comfortable, the kitchen was adequate and the gas fire was excellent. The surrounding gardens and amenities were perfect for the kids, with a tennis court, games room, fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a heated pool. The bushwalks are of course fantastic in the nearby National Park and the place is far enough out of town to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to get dinner, coffees or supplies.

We recently had a wonderful, comfortable, fun and relaxing stay at Possums. The pool, games room, tennis court, basketball hoop, tennis court and fire pit are amazing for kids. The perfect location, 4 min drive to Blackheath village and other Blue Mountains attractions. Jess, the manager, was a warm host with an attitude that shined so brightly. Thanks and we’ll be back!

Truly beautiful spot, lovely grounds, clean and warm villas and everyone loved the pool and tennis courts. Plus so many thoughtful little surprises (such as marshmallows for the communal fire and treasure maps for onsite explorations). Great for all ages - our 7 year old and teenagers loved it equally.

What a warm, welcoming, peaceful retreat. Fantastic location close to everything by car. Gorgeous trails next door. Immaculate cottages and grounds. Great indoor pool. And a very super fun fire pit! Roasting marshmallows was a wonderful hit with our kids - and it was a lovely touch that a bag of delicious marshmallows were provided in the room as a welcome gift. Jess (manager) is a gorgeous, genuine delight and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. (thanks for the recommendation for the delicious Thai take away too!)

My husband and I had the most magical weekend at Possums Hideaway, and I can't recommend this place enough for a romantic getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquillity and romance. The secluded location provided the perfect backdrop for a peaceful retreat, allowing us to reconnect and unwind in a truly beautiful setting. This would be probably close to our 10th visit here over a 15 year period and in all this time it has remained consistently perfect. The cabin was impeccably clean, cosy, and thoughtfully decorated, creating an inviting and warm ambiance with the slow wood heater. The spa bath was very luxurious plenty big enough for two. Jess was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that our stay was nothing short of perfect. She provided us with excellent recommendations for local activities and restaurants. We took advantage of the breakfast basket which provided more than enough for breakfast, delicious pancakes and granola. Possums Hideaway is the epitome of a romantic retreat—secluded, serene, and simply stunning. We left feeling rejuvenated, closer than ever, and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with your partner, this is the place to be. Five stars simply aren't enough!

Perfect couples retreat, peaceful and acomodation provides everything you need for a weekend away. The cabin has a cosy feel and we love the wood fireplace which kept us toasty during our stay when temperatures dropped. This was the second time we have stayed at Possum Hideaway and we just love it. Highly recommended. The staff are super friendly and also provided a list of recommendations of local sites to visit, markets, food and activities which was super helpful. Thanks
