From the moment I made the booking, Jess made us feel very welcome. 10 of us arrived at "The Cottage" with the fire already glowing and a bag of marshmallows and birthday gift as an unexpected but delightful surprise. With 8 adults and 2 kids, we had plenty of space to spread out. Being a big family of cooking enthusiasts, we took advantage of the well stocked kitchen and MASSIVE dinning table. With the cold dreary weather we were all kept thoroughly entertained with bush walks, LOTS of swims in the indoor pool and quite a few competitive games of table tennis. If the conditions were better, we would have sampled all the activities Possum Hideaway had to offer. It was so nice to be away from the touristy chaos of Echo Point and enjoy the peaceful nature the Blue Moumtains has to offer.

Extremely helpful and positive staff both in the booking process and onsite. The venue is well maintained and very peaceful surrounded by areas of bushland to explore. The accommodation is lovely with a small kitchen to self-cater. The gas heaters ensure warmth in the chilly winter months and the beds are very comfortable. The separate barbecue facilities are great for outdoor cooking, and the indoor campfire is a wonderful experience for a night-time treat!

This is our little home away from home (family haven) where we have to come to celebrate over the years special occasions but most importantly a place to enjoy the most important family time away. We love it here, we will keep coming back!

From the warm welcome from Jess to the beautiful quiet comfort of the Yurt, we loved our mountain getaway! We had family staying in a cabin so enjoyed spending time with the children on treasure hunts, tennis, pool, fire pit & bushwalks while still being as able to relax in our own retreat. Highly recommended!!

The possum's hideaway cabin in the bush is well equipped, peaceful and very comfortable. Management always takes care of use and after 15 years staying each July, this has always been maintained.

3rd time returning to Federation Gardens and Possums Hideaway. We can't fault the place! On arrival the fireplace was on and welcoming. Our accommodation, as always was immaculate. Our children had a great time swimming, playing outdoor chess and roasting marshmallows by the campfire in the evening. We were super lucky to experience some snow falling, an added bonus!

Everything was fantastic, from the first point of contact (phone call to Jess) to our arrival greeting. The whole property is absolutely stunning, beautiful gardens & surroundings. Great separation of areas for family’s and the couples hideaway only area. Within the Yurt-style accommodation, everything you need is there. Even a little treat for the occasional nocturnal possum visitor. It’s a spacious accommodation with outside area all around. Fully equipped kitchen, a very comfy bed, a lovely spacious spa & a fire place. It’s a real hideaway, feels so private and away from the world, even though it’s only a couple km’s away from Blackheath shops and cafes, and Evans lookout at the end of the road. We had chosen the property as our honeymoon and we feel to have made a great choice. So looking forward to returning there again.
