Bishop＇s Stortford Hotels with Wi-Fi

Lovely little hotel very close to Stanstead Airport. It was being refurbished unfortunatley, so had some issues with wifi, but I was upgraded to a double room immediartely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was missing a small fridge and a toilet brush, which should be stadard in a four star establishment.

Great Lodge is close to the airport (58 mins walking or 14 mins by bus). I wanted a place in nature, and I was served : multiple public footpaths and hiking trail (see picture). The room was clean, spacious and warm. Didn't have soap or conditioner as mentioned, but I didn't need them since I had mine. Check-in and check-out were easy (a person was at the front desk). I was attending a wedding talking place at the hotel. Everything worked well. The service and food throughout was excellent, and the room well appointed.

The location is a bit far from main road but the property is well situated. A clean building but the hot water didn't work in the bathroom (perhaps there needs to be some manual assistance in getting it operated that's if it works). My TV didn't work as there's a faulty connection. There should be some level of noise control in the building as you hear everyone speaking from within next doors.

Based on the questions asked its good. In truth though we found it noisy (paper thin walls), the lift sounded like it would break down and the pipes made lots noises when adjacent rooms were showing etc which kept us up. Plus points. The staff were nice enough, location is good if driving and the hotel is clean and shower was powerful.

Good hotel and great locations close to stansted airport . Uber is available from the hotel to airport and I paid £17 . Rooms are clean and modern .

The room is OK, the landlord can arrange a drop-off at the airport, 7 pounds. It’s a bit early to check out.

It was ok for a one night stay due to being close to the Airport. The room was an outbuilding of a pub, food in pub was lovely, only downside was the pub closes at 6 pm on Sunday & closed Monday & Tuesday, so no chance of food or decent coffee, complimentary tea & coffee in room but would have been good to have been able to have a breakfast ( they did offer continental tho ) very accommodating owner, offered to make me a sandwich for sun evening (very kind of them) if you arrive on a sunday bring snacks 😊
