Holiday Inn Express BIRMINGHAM - CITY CENTRE by IHG

Nice hotel , staff were friendly, clean took and bathroom , comfy bed and the breakfast was good as well

Not great. Two different rooms both sick on carpets and aircon not working. First room was a disabled room. Massive bit hot aircon wouldn’t work and massive yellow stain on carpet next to bed. Asked to move. Second room aircon not working controller kept turning itself off complained. Was told it would be working once they had fixed it downstairs in back office. As I went out I was assured it had been fixed. Came back at 3am and still noticed working. As I’d arrived in the evening it wasn’t obvious but in the morning I noticed the blackout curtain is perished and falling apart and there was sick on the floor beside the bed. Toilet cistern ran all night as well which was so annoying. Mould in the shower and screws coming out of the frame. Breakfast was poor. Almost everything overcooked, bacon not edible it was that hard. Really disappointed and will go back to Travelodge.

Everything fairly standard and okay, but coming down to breakfast was genuinely vile- was really hungry too so that was a disappointment 🤣. No wonder its free but in particular- DONT EAT THE SCRAMBLED EGGS

I had a pleasant stay overall. The hotel was comfortable and provided a nice place to relax. A good choice for a short stay, and I would be happy to stay here again.

Simple hotel with plenty of amenities and good service. Free breakfast which was a plus. Rooms were good size and comfortable

We stayed this hotel because is in excellent location and offers that what matters most clean room and very nice breakfast.

It was my first stay here, everything was so lovely from the room to the breakfast even had an amazing view of the city

I visited this hotel recently whilst I was in the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful with getting me checked in. I was also pleased with the room itself, the bed was comfortable and the room was very clean overall, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again in the future.

Good location, basic but has everything you need. Breakfast buffet was a bonus too.
