The biggest pitfalls I've ever experienced: 1. The hotel has no lobby, and the front desk lacks air conditioning. The check-in staff was unfamiliar, and the check-in process took half an hour. They didn't even explain how to get to the room, the hotel layout, or where the restaurant was. 2. The breakfast restaurant also lacks air conditioning and is open-air. Flies started flying around a few minutes into the meal, which was a real bummer. There are no restaurants nearby, so we had to eat at the hotel restaurant, which was absolutely terrible. It was better to just buy instant noodles. I was looking forward to the BBQ buffet, which cost over 300 RMB per person, but there were no drinks and only three kinds of seafood: ordinary shrimp and snails. Absolutely depressing. Tropical, right? There wasn't even much fruit, not even dragon fruit. 3. I didn't expect the staff to speak Chinese, and their English wasn't very good. Except for the supervisor level, communication was almost impossible. There was absolutely no service. There were no activities at the hotel. I finally found a ping-pong table, but the balls were broken and the rackets were plastic. You say you can play badminton in Indonesia, but the court is right on the beach, and the nets are portable Decathlon ones. 4. The sea wasn't very clear. You could see small fish, but it was filled with coral debris. I'm not sure why, but the waves were also very small, making it less fun. The hotel's orientation was also not ideal; you couldn't see either sunrise or sunset. In short, be careful; this isn't a good option for Chinese tourists.
