Trikora Beach Club & Resort

This is a beautiful resort on a beautiful beach but there are a couple of things that take away from it being perfect. We booked Bintan island on a bit of a whim and could’ve probably saved ourselves a small amount of upset by doing a tiny bit of research so I can’t really blame the resort for this but the property is very isolated. There is basically nowhere in the immediate vicinity to go for food , drinks or basically anything. Which would be appealing to us had we have packed better. The bigger issue, and the reason for taking off a star, is there is only one swimming pool. Now, this wouldn’t normally be an issue except later on the first day multiple families turned up and our peaceful getaway was turned into a waterpark for small children. Really changed the whole vibe. In saying this, the staff were wonderful and the food was unbelievably good. Even for SE Asian standards where food is pretty much always on point. It was one of those places where if in a similar location in Bali it would’ve been AUD$600 per night as opposed to $200, so good value for money.

Comfortable rooms, excellent customer service, beautiful views, tranquil location. No hustle and bustle. We've stayed in all room types and each had been comfortable and as advertised. Bring sunscreen and mozzie spray and you'll be all set.

The location itself is nice, close to the beach and peaceful but premises are old, dirty and poorly maintained - the rooms are very basic, beds are not comfortable and feel dirty. The bathrooms are old and dirty -the shower head, wooden boards came apart. There are very few facilities and options for entertainment - there is only 1 restaurant with limited menu (many options were not available and not many options for vegetarians) and no buffet breakfast. The pools were cleaned only after we complained. Very poor customer service as the staff either did not understand English or were unwilling to accomodate requests and it was hard to find any staff around. It's not well lit at night and there's no entertainment for children apart from the beach and pool. The reception staff informed us there were life vests for children but there was noone at the "sports centre" and they did not have any small size life vests for kids.Given that therre were very few guests at the resort that weekend, the service could have been a lot better to take care of the few of us who were there. We had to keep complaining before anything was done. The kitchen staff were friendly and helpful but there was no other customer service provided through our stay. The photos and reviews do not accurately reflect how the premises are. The beach is beautiful but the rooms are not comfortable, and you can hear traffic from the main road. Do not recommend for families with kids as it is really boring. The pictures and reviews on trip advisor do not accurately reflect the state of the premises.

Beautiful & unspoilt location to get away from it all! The property is located on this stunning beach with an infinity pool to enjoy the views, together with the well kept gardens or beach to lie back & totally relax! The beach villa is well worth the extra & enjoys a comfortable rustic style with the view & gentle sounds of the ocean. The rustic style continues throughout with a picturesque decking accommodating the restaurant. The menu is varied, reasonable & we enjoyed exceptional dishes every time. The staff are all very friendly & welcoming at every encounter, particularly Anuar who is an absolute delight with such a cheerful & friendly nature, always wanting to make sure that his guests are enjoying their stay. We highly recommend this resort & island - it’s just a short ferry ride from Singapore & approx 50 minute taxi ride but you get to see the island at the same time too. Thanks for the earlier recommendation re: Taxis too. Don’t go for the ones immediately as you come through customs & immigration, but those just as you exit. (Barter too, as we paid 250,000 Ind Rupiat each way plus tip).

Beautiful location! We where in an ocean-view suite and it was like paradise. The food is also really good. The only thing that was less good was the amount of lounge-chair. Only 4 for all the guests of the resort.

A very nice resort that has beautifully clean grounds, well cared for rooms and a nice beach. We spent nearly a week at Tikora Beach and loved every minute. The staff are incredible and very friendly. The food at the restaurant is exceptional with the Indonesia cuisine the highlight. The beach is clean and the water was clear and warm (July). There is not a lot directly around the resort however we did borrow the bikes and went right out of the resort. About 1km on the left u will find a convenience store. A further 500m you will find a hairdresser on the right. The reception were happy to organise a car and driver for us from the ferry terminal. We were also able to hire the same car and driver for a 6hr tour of the islands main attractions. Would definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing break. Special mention to Agung who went out of his way to make sure we were content.
