Post Ranch Inn

I recently spent a few nights at The Post Ranch Inn and I have to say it was the nicest property I’ve ever stayed at. From the luxury accommodations - where every detail exceeded my expectations, to the breath taking views - the Post Ranch Inn has redefined for me what a five star resort experience looks like. It was so nice I even extended my stay. The thing that makes the Post Ranch truly exceptional is the staff they have working there. From DJ, Jeff, Grayson and everyone at the front office to Aldo at the bar (who made me feel like I was at my local pub) I truly felt like I was part of a big family working together to deliver their guests the best stay imaginable. Make sure to do the Falconry class with Antonio - you will learn so much about birds of prey and the local environment. It was one of the most unique experiences and I got to have hands-on interactions with the birds. Martin (who I found out was the unofficial mayor of Big Sur) and Nick from the maintenance department were genuine, friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. We enjoyed such an amazing stay at the Post Ranch Inn this past weekend. On top of being an incredible setting with breathtaking views, the service we experienced was extraordinary. Everyone we encountered—Krystal who checked us in at reception, Sergio who drove us to our accommodation (the stunning L&B Post room), Reylon who presides over your remarkable kitchen and who led our garden tour, Antonio and his fascinating falconry experience, and Phil, with whom we chatted in the Mercantile—was smiling, kind, and accommodating. A special shoutout to the outstanding restaurant/wine staff, including Germaine, Todd, Eric, Hector, (and another server whose name I can’t recall), who all radiated gracious, friendly vibes and served up some of the most exquisite food and wine I’ve ever had. Additional elements that made our stay extra-special: the impeccable housekeeping, the serenity of the Med and Jade Pools, the beautifully maintained trails…I can’t say enough!

I had the pleasure of staying at Post Ranch Inn. When getting to the property you are greeted at the front of the hotel with happy faces and beautiful smiles from the bell man, the ones who helped was were Juan and Abraham. Once you walk into reception you’ll see the beautiful art and history all over. Once entering we were greeted by Cristal and Jaqui M. They made us feel at home. They even offered us a glass of Pinot Noir or Chardonnay , We chose Chardonnay. Once finished checking in, Abraham helped us into the shuttle and gave us a tour of the beautiful property and we got see the meadow, restaurant, and chefs garden. When Abraham was done showing the property he helped us get in our room by showing us how to use everything and show us where items are located. Thank you Abraham. Once in the room you’ll see you have your own fireplace , a nice soft bed and heated floors. You can also see the whole ocean from the inside and outside. We stayed in Overstrom. We had a soaking tub and when I tell I was in there all night and especially early morning catching the sun rise. It was nice and peaceful, I would 1000% recommend coming here. They will treat you like family and make sure you taking care of. Here’s some pictures I took

The tranquil Beauty of Post Ranch Inn, showcases the heart of Big Sur. The Natural and well maintained property feels welcoming and safe. It is a very nurturing place to be for a retreat, special occasion or celebration. Staff is very welcoming and highly professional.

Heavenly experience! Beautiful location, so peaceful and serene. All the staff are top notch, including the spa staff, and so very good at what they do. The food at Sierra Mar for all meals was outstanding! Post Ranch Inn is our favorite place, our happy place! Keep up the awesome job!

This review is LONG overdue, as I am now here on my 3rd stay over Christmas Eve at the Post Ranch Inn; and, each time I just can't wait to return again. This is an exceptionally special place that I dreamed of visiting for 10 years before finally making it here - and it more than exceeded my expectations. The Ocean House I stayed in my 1st time was so beautiful that I was moved to tears (that happened again today, when I entered the Cliff House!). My 2nd stay was in the Pacific Suite which was also stunning. Here, there is unmatched ambience: the property itself claims some of the most spectacular Big Sur coastline, and they incorporate thoughtful and elegant architecture that cohesively embraces its natural surroundings. The rooms are designed and positioned to perfectly showcase jaw-dropping views. I love coming here for solo getaways to celebrate milestones or take much needed time for myself to recharge. I can gaze endlessly at the horizon and watch "nature's color show" as the sea and sky change throughout the day. It's breathtakingly beautiful. I came for Christmas last year and there is nothing like waking up to a sunrise view of the expansion Pacific Ocean. It was so memorable that I have made it a tradition that I hope to continue for years to come. A big warm thank you to DJ, Chin, Cindy, and the entire team at PR who each play a part in creating a wonderful experience every time I come. PR has come to feel like a home away from home, with heavenly views that celebrate the unique beauty and magic of Big Sur. A special shoutout in particular to DJ who I met on my 1st stay and is the absolute best! He always goes above and beyond to help me pick the perfect room and set me up for a memorable stay, from extra little touches to personalized recommendations on how to spend my time, and checking in on me in a truly authentic and caring manner. His dedication to his guests and his team is amazing, and I can't thank him enough for all he's done!
