The breakfast is one to rave about. Not only was it a hot meal (sausage, biscuits, and gravy) but a lady was on site to prepare fresh eggs. Internet worked well. Room was comfortable although a little odd in lay out. We were put in a handicapped room because we can't do steps, and there was no hook near the sink to hang my toiletries bag. Otherwise, great stay for us. (Retired and on a budget.)

The town is a little run down and the hotel looks so on the outside. The room inside was actually pretty decent and comfortable. It has nice finishes and all the features you’d expect. However, I found a dirty wash cloth hanging over the shower, the refrigerator was broken, and the AC wasn’t able to cook down the room. Now, our stay was in the middle of July, but it should’ve been cooler inside. I don’t blame Super 8 or Wyndham, I think Big Springs is not a pleasant place to visit. Avoid it if you can!

Overall we had a very good experience at this motel. It is undergoing some renovations at this time and they are making it very nice. The desk clerk was so nice and made sure that the room was extra clean for us and on the first floor. When we needed a desk chair he brought us one and made sure we were happy with the room. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. It included both hot and cold choices. With Biscuits and Gravy, Eggs, Waffles, Cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. They had a designated room for the breakfast with plenty of tables and chairs. The Internet was great and there was a nice swimming pool available. When you are going through TX, this is the place to stay.
