Arab Desert Camp

Glamping site in the Empty Quarter. Remotely set in a valley between two dunes it is a great place to stop for a night to watch the sunset or sunrise, see the stars, ride a camel (at extra cost) or go dune sledding. Stayed in the cabins, which were nice except the bathroom is only accessed from the exterior – quite notable on the cold evenings in the desert. This is not glamping like you might experience on an African safari but it meets the need. Be prepared for sand everywhere. Dinner and breakfast are minimal but excellent in ingredients and preparation. Particularly fond of the bread.

Staying at this camp was one of the best experiences of my life. Badr and the rest of the crew are the most fun, welcoming and happy people. They took great care of us starting from a taxi from Muscat to the camp. The tent was beautiful and comfortable, with sockets to charge your phone. The camp is immersed in the desert and you can enjoy a breath taking sunset. We then had a beduin dinner followed by music and dance by the fire. And this is not even the best part: the morning after it was my birthday, so the guys brought a cake for me and sang happy birthday. It was a priceless moment. Everything was perfect and I am extremely grateful for any minute of it. Go to this camp, you will not regret it!!

Great experience of the Arab desert camp and the team. I must admit that the circumstances were somewhat « different » from usual ones in the desert : storms, rains, thunder and flood ! In that context, the members of the team of the camp have been just fantastic. Go there and enjoy !

I find it interesting that this place does not have many reviews here. There are a lot on Booking and that's why I ended up choosing this place. I really really enjoyed my stay here! Mohammed was super kind and the staff here went above and beyond to make the experience the most enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, both breakfast and lunch. There was a nice campfire, and in the evening there were four guys who played instruments and sang the most beautiful songs. I think for me, the real star was the bed. The mattress was incredibly comfortable and there were crisp, white sheets and a nice duvet. Actually, having said that, the stars were actually the real star of the show! A blanket of stars in the sky! The bathroom is a little strange, but it's actually wonderful because there is no roof to the bathroom. That means every time you go to use the bathroom at night you get to gaze up at the stars. There are many camps to choose from but this one stood out for affordability and quality of experience.

L'accueil se fait dans un bureau au début du desert, puis l'on vient vous chercher pour vous amener au camp qui se trouve à une dizaine de minutes en 4x4. Vous pouvez vous y rendre avec votre véhicule ou le laisser sur place. Les tentes ont toilettes et douches indépendantes, les lits sont très confortables. Le repas et le déjeuner sont très bons, on mange par terre dans le coin dédié. Possibilité de faire du dune bashing au sunset ou sunrise, c'est fun et permet d'aller voir le coucher de soleil depuis un autre point de vue.

Sehr empfehlenswertes Wüsten-Camp. Sehr saubere Zelte mit guten und gemütlichen Betten. Wir waren mit Kleinkind unterwegs und sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Abendessen und Frühstück können dazugebucht werden. War sehr lecker.
