Ate there on a lunchtime. Nice surroundings, nice location. Service was good. I had the pork, stuffing and gravy baguette. Not bad, nothing to complain about. Also had a portion of chips. Very good size portion and they were nice chips. My wife had the garlic mushrooms. Incredibly it tasted of absolutely nothing. No discernible garlic, cheese, cream or even mushroom flavour. Very strange. The couple next to us had the same thing and they seemed to be enjoying it so maybe it was a bad batch. Additionally, and I could be completely wrong about this, we overheard that there was a £9.99 for 2 courses offer. This was not apparent to us. We certainly didn’t receive a menu for that offer. However, take what I say with a pinch of salt (or add it to the mushrooms) as I could be completely mistaken.

Sunday Roast - Excellent food and drinks. Pizza are hand thrown and wood fired oven fresh. You don’t go away feeling hungry! Good all round service. Excellent covered outside dining area. No smoking in this area makes it a double pleasure to use.

We were staying close by and used to visit with family frequently, but not for a couple of years. As usual the food was stunning, served quickly and efficiently. The bonus for me was gluten free beer in the form of bewdley brewery’s Worcestershire Way (several consumed) The service was friendly and quick. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Lovely little place on the riverside. We found the staff were really friendly and went the extra mile when we turned up early. The staff were able to sort an early check in with no notice so that we could get ready for a wedding. The team also provided an extra bed on request. Thank you

My family booked a surprise meal for my 60th birthday here and we had the most amazing experience. It was quite a large group, so it took some organising. We were given a private area to enjoy the celebrations. The food was lovely, it was hot and was served to each of us at the same time. The staff were amazing, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It made our experience a very special one. I am told by my son and daughter in law, who arranged it all, that the communication leading up to the day was exceptional and all in all it made the day run smoothly. It was memorable and perfect in everyway. The owner is delightful and in our experience, on every occasion we have been there, it is clear to us that he isn't afraid to work alongside his staff in an equal capacity. He clearly cares about his staff and his customers. I would highly recommend the pub and without doubt the food.

Lovely old pub warm and cozy excellent breakfast good beer friendly staff right on the river Good location right in the middle of bewdley near the museum. Short drive to west midlands safari park and the Severn valley railway is definitely worth a visit

Sat right on the river, this place can't be faulted. The staff are great and the Rose Room was enormous, with a huge, comfortable bed. Tried the Mug Muffin for breakfast and it was delicious, shout out too to the WiFi which is fast and easy to use, putting the big hotel chains to shame. As for parking, head for the long stay section of the Sainsbury's car park and you're sorted, with a short walk round the corner to the hotel.

The Mug House is essentially a small pub with rooms, with accommodation that seems to be reasonable value for money for the area. On the plus side, the location on the riverside, in the centre of Bewdley, is excellent. The cooked vegan breakfast was fabulous. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in cottage room 2, which is in an old characterful annex to the pub. The age of the building shows in the sloping floor and single glazed sash windows, which add to the character. On the down side, the condition of our room, furnishings and decor were tired and would benefit from a good refresh. The sash cords in the upper window need replacing (it has to be fully open or fully closed). The shower is past its best, with loose pipework. A bit of TLC could move the accommodation from ok to excellent.

We’ve just had lunch at this wonderful little pub right alongside the River Severn. The food was fabulous, all home cooked and presented beautifully. We opted for the small bites menu, which was anything but small and a freshly prepared pizza - amazing value for the quality of the food we had. The vanilla and strawberry cheesecake was the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely be back. A perfect location for a superb lunch xxx Thanks to Lisa and her team ♥️
