My colleague and I had pre-booked rooms with King-size beds, but we were given rooms with narrow Twin beds, which were uncomfortable. We were told that, unfortunately, there were no King rooms available, although judging by the light coming from the windows, half of the rooms appeared to be empty.
The worst part was that the two of us were given rooms at the very end of the hallway on the ground floor, directly above the parking exit. It was unbearably loud starting at 5 a.m., making it impossible to sleep. On top of that, right above this parking exit, there was a flag with the hotel logo that was poorly secured, and it squeaked all night in the wind. From 5 a.m., deliveries began through the parking area, with carts rolling back and forth, creating an unbearable rumble and noise that echoed through the rooms.
This is a very clean hotel with nice complimentary amenities like a restocked minibar, and overall it’s a good property. However, the way we were treated — being given the worst possible rooms — ruined the entire experience for us.

1. Less than 15mins walk to S-Bahn trains, including airport routes, to and from airport is around an hour. The most economical way to travel. Yes, there’s a lift access for luggage, pram, wheelchair and etc use.
2. Location was ok in general, loving the residential surroundings, pretty peaceful and quiet.
3. Room overall, satisfactory cleanliness. Smart tv, outdated radio(cd,cassette)which I don’t mind having jazz music played whole day. Bed was confortable, pillow was just so-so.
4. A lot of strategic power sockets but not user friendly, all were local rounded in plug, usual international traveler plug would not fit in. Reception would loan without fuss.
5. Good security, lift access through room key, CCTV was placed, after hours main lobby door have to be access by room key,
6. Reception staff in general serious looking, some are friendly with a smile and greetings. Housekeeping gentleman was friendly.
7. Shower pressure and temperature was great, have to point inner slightly, if not water would be sprayed out from the shower cubicle.
8. Lastly, Aircon was not working and reception claimed perhaps it’s spoilt and could loan a fan without charges. Did not request for one, had my window left ajar at all times when in the room as weather was still lovely ranging about 10-20 degrees Celsius. I bet summer time would not be that ideal for sure.

”My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berlin was fantastic. From the first minute I felt completely comfortable and welcome in this hotel. The reception at reception was extremely friendly and check-in went smoothly.
My room was very spacious, modern and stylishly furnished. It was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you could wish for - from the comfortable bed to the flat-screen TV and the Nespresso machine. The view from the window of the surrounding area was wonderful.
The bathroom was also in tip-top condition and equipped with high-quality care products. I slept fantastically and felt completely at home.
The breakfast buffet in the in-house restaurant left nothing to be desired. The selection of delicious and high-quality dishes was huge - from scrambled eggs to fresh rolls to fruit, juices and cereals. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive.
The location of the hotel is also excellent. It is in the immediate vicinity of the Kurfürstendamm with its numerous shops, restaurants and sights. The public transport connections are also first class.
Overall, I can highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berlin. I had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back.”

The hotel is absolutely clean and the staff is friendly, the night shift employee is extremely friendly and very helpful. The Uhlandstrasse underground station (not Kurfürstendamm!!!) feels like a long walk. There is a bus station near the hotel, but there are long waits late in the evening.
The telephone in the room didn't work and hadn't been repaired even after three days, despite repeated promises and assurances. When I then asked the lady at reception if I could make a quick phone call, she just said quite rudely that it wasn't allowed. (Otherwise the staff were friendly).
To be able to switch on the electricity in the whole (!) room, you have to insert the card next to the door, only then do the lights and everything work. It's just too bad that the fuse blows almost every time. Then you have to feel for the fuse at the back of the wardrobe and put it back in again. It's a joke.
Other rooms have had this problem for months, without anything being changed.
The soap dispensers in the shower and by the sink are also a disgrace. The soap containers are fixed in a modern, impractical wall bracket. To get anything out, you have to press against the hard plastic soap containers with unpleasant force, but then a whole lot comes out. The fittings in the bathroom may be hypermodern, but they are very difficult to use and take some getting used to. The bathroom door is also the shower door. The furnishings as a whole seem too hypermodern and soulless in my opinion. Everything is somehow very strange and I didn't really feel comfortable in this hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location. I booked 2 nights in total. On the first day, the hotel gave me a beautiful city view with floor-to-ceiling windows. On the second day, I changed rooms because I booked separately. I was given a room near the end of the corridor. Unfortunately, at 8:00 and 10:00 in the morning, someone took a key (not a room card but a key) and opened my door (without knocking). The second time, I lay on the bed without clothes. Fortunately, I covered myself with a quilt. The room was very small and the door was facing the bed. The outside could see clearly. I was scared and called the front desk immediately. When I checked out, the front desk apologized and said that room service should not open the door without knocking. I stayed in 2 different hotels in Germany for three days, and the doors were opened without knocking in the morning. I wonder if this is normal in German hotels? ? It's terrible and not suitable for solo travelers.

The best hotel I've stayed in so many times in Berlin. During the exhibition, some shabby hotels cost more than 1,000 yuan. It's better to stay in Waldorf for more than 2,000 yuan. The service staff is also very good. The room and bed of the double bed room are big enough, and the mattress is neither soft nor hard.

Nice hotel in a great location next to the zoo and aquarium in Berlin. The 200 bus leaves from outside the hotel to take you to the main sights including Alexanderplatz. Or the S Bahn is only a 10 or 15 minute walk away from the hotel where you can catch the S9 to (and from) the airport.

Located about 5 minutes walk from the Nollendorfplatz station which is very convenient. Surrounding the station there are some stores and eateries. We particularly like Shao Mai (vietnamese food) and had meals there a few time on our overnight stay.
Checking in is all on I pad but there are staff helping 24hr. Luggage storage was provided

Very Good

Walk 7 minutes in one direction and you are at Checkpoint Charlie. Walk 10 mins in the other direction and you are at the Mall of Berlin. Walk 20 mins in another direction and you are in the Museum area of Berlin. Loads of restaurants, supermarkets and stores right next door to the apartment. Wonderful location. Can walk everywhere, plus the subway station is right outside.
Room
Large. Clean. It's a studio apartment, so in one room you will have your bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, wardrobe and TV. Then in another room you will have your kitchen and another room is your bathroom.
Bedroom
Bed is comfortable, but for some reason, despite having a 1 double bed, the duvets supplied were for 2 single beds, rather than one big bed.
Plug sockets near the beds are useful, but they are not VERY near, but close enough.
The room is large and clean.
The TV is small and because of the size of the room, it's almost hard to see. Yes it's on a wheeled table so you can bring it closer to the bed, but the power cord limits the range of movement. It is a Smart TV though so you can cast your android phone to it. Not iOS
There is a balcony area with tables and chairs which is nice.
The AC is wall mounted as if it was a TV. It did cool the room which is surprising as the room is big.
Bathroom
Super clean. Towels and such changed daily. It's a bathtub with a shower combined. And now I am going to be SUPER picky when I say this......do NOT let this impact your decision to stay here or not, but the water pressure is good but not great. But that may be because I like to feel like the water is really shooting at my skin. Also, the shower head holder kept sliding down. Annoying, ever so slightly, but not a deal breaker
Kitchen
So useful. It's a large kitchen with a fridge plus freezer. Induction hob with 2 rings. Sink, dishwasher. Plates, bowls, cups, tea saucers and cups, cutlery, cooking pots, frying pans, utensils for them, cutlery for eating, kitchen knives, tea towels, sieves... all great and all provided. There was one review that said it only offered 1 plate set.... we had several and it was very very useful.
Laundry
The apartment has a laundry room. 3 washing machines, 3 drying units, an ironing board and good steam iron. Even the powder is provided and having a laundry room was super useful. It's on -1 floor of the West side of the building.
Breakfast
The breakfast room, on the 8th floor does have an amazing view, and the room is lovely - everything is white with stone-coloured chairs, super clean... as if designed by Apple
It's a half-buffet style, cereal, pastry, cheese, and cured meats are all help yourself. Eggs, tea and coffee are on request. I didn't like this. The staff are wonderful and very polite and well trained, but, for me, I prefer less interaction and would have preferred a full buffet-style where I can help myself to whatever I wanted without having to ask.
Gym and Sauna
Also on the 8th floor. The gym has wonderful views, there is a seated bike, treadmill, rowing machine, weight bench and some dumbbells. Max weight was 10kg for the dumbbells so really its more of a cardio room.
Service.
We arrived around 11pm, but reception is not open. You have to scan a QR code, fill in all your details, upload a photo of your passport.... then wait after it successfully registers you you can open the doors. Or you can pop into the security office where the guy will hand you a key. Much easier, but you are not explicitly told.
But, the service is good here. Everyone is very polite, very helpful, all speak English. Cannot fault them at all. Just wish the reception was 24 hours
The location is great, the room is large and clean, the laundry room is useful and the gym and breakfast room have great views. It is expensive which is the only hesitant thing about returning here, but it is comparable in price to other similar hotels but here you get a much larger room with a kitchen. Great stay!

GGuest UserThe location and physical aspects of the hotel were good. However, the service, especially from the night manager, was HORRIBLE.
We booked 3 twin rooms. Note that the price is different between twin and double rooms.
We arrived late at night due to flight delays and were very tired. During check in we were told that there were no more twin rooms because the hotel was full. What's the point of paying more for twin rooms if the hotel does not reserve them for us?
When we asked for an extra bed to be added, we were told that there isn't enough space for it. This is not true as we had already been inside the rooms and they were big with lots of space.
After much haggling and after the night manager put on a show by going in to the hotel's office for a few minutes, he came back to say that he can change one of the rooms and put in an extra bed.
We were still not satisfied and so we insisted that the hotel can do something to rectify the matter. After doing another round of putting on a show, the night manager came back and said that he can now add and extra bed to another room and would also give us a 50% discount for 2 of the rooms.
In addition, he said that we could take the 2 bottles of mineral bottles (these are chargeable) for free. The fridges in the rooms have sensors to detect if the drinks there are taken. The next day we checked with the reception to make sure that we would not be charged. The lady who assisted us checked and said that there was a note saying that we would not be charged. When I got my credit card statement, I found a charge for the 2 bottles of mineral water. 16 euros. Ridiculous.
Throughout this ordeal, I must say that the night manager's attitude and manner were really bad. For example, I don't remember seeing him smile at all even when he first came to talk to us about the rooms.
Our holiday was marred by this. Hilton is a high class brand of hotels but the service leaves a very bitter taste in our mouths.

The rooms are not only stylish and modern, but also offer a really great view of the Oberbaum Bridge and the Spree - simply amazing! (You have to book for a small additional charge though) 🤩 The atmosphere in the hotel is unique and the service leaves nothing to be desired. We'd be happy to come back again and again!

GGuest UserUnfortunately, the pool was closed and the sauna was required to login and the sauna area was able to use just 1 hour. The opening hours of the sauna from 14:00 to 20:00 on weekends are absolutely unacceptable for such a luxury hotel. We were very angry about it. When booking we have not received any information about the time in the spa is so regulated and it is completely closed in the pool area. At the reception, we received information that the pool was closed due to energy saving measures and also lacked staff. We believe that then the overnight prices must be adjusted accordingly if a significant part of the services cannot be provided. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy our stay as we intended!

Service at reception
The full payment including city taxes have been paid via my credit card upon booking. The payments paid and breakdown including city taxes are stated very clearly on the booking voucher. However despite this, I was asked to pay a deposit of amount close to Euro 600 which was the full amount of my stay that was paid using my credit card. Upon asking, I asked the trainee/Lena why I have to pay so much again when I had paid the full amount via credit card.
Lena then checked with the another lady receptionist on the deposit that should be secured. However, this lady receptionist informed us to pay a deposit of euro 50 which I have no issue. However, she rudely informed me that I have to pay city tax. I told her that it has been paid and I showed her the booking voucher which clearly shows that city taxes have been paid. But she informed rudely that the amount was charged in other currency, not Euro. Seriously, when I heard this, I was shocked with the “intelligence” of this lady receptionist. She needs to be educated on what is “foreign currency equivalent” and to have some common sense. I disputed this and insisted that i had paid the full amount including city taxes, which was stated very clearly on the booking voucher. Lena agreed with me and reiterated to this lady receptionist that the booking voucher indeed stated that all payments including city taxes have been paid. Thereafter, the lady receptionist left rudely without any apologies.
The receptionists should be trained and their service should be improved. Firstly, they should have checked that I have fully paid and should not secure a a deposit of almost euro 600. Only when I asked, they rechecked, but no apologies. Secondly, even after they rechecked, they did not check clearly that city taxes have been paid and insisted me to pay city taxes. No apologies either when they found out. The service from the lady receptionist (shorter girl with curly hair) was so rude and no apologies even though she was wrong in the first place.
I highlighted this issue and feedback to the shiftleader, Andreas Levi and made known to him about the receptionists. He immediately went to check and confirmed that all payments including city taxes have been paid earlier via credit card. Thanks Andreas Levi for checking and making our stay better.
Bed
Not sure why some beds have comforters/topper while some beds without. The beds with comforters are so comfy! Our bed without comforters.
Breakfast
For Europe’s standard, I think the breakfast in this hotel is considered good. With few hot food such as overcooked bacon, overcooked sausage, baked bean, and eggs. The omelette is nice (thanks to the chef!) Some selections of bread, lots of choices of good quality teas. Few selections of juices. Coffee machine. Fresh honey comb.
Complementary water
It is odd that complimentary water is only provided to the guests for the first night despite I stay 3 nights. This is the first time I experience this in Europe. Perhaps guest should make different booking for each night.
Proximity to trains and attractions
Close proximity to train stations and some main attractions.
Summary
Overall service was good (except for 1 rude lady receptionist). I will still recommend this hotel. Take the breakfast.

Reception services were good and could stay in lobby kitchen before check in time.
The room had oven, fridges, sink and the bathroom and shower is common.
The surprise was that there was also a tv.
The breakfast has not many vegan options as announced but it was quite good and is taken outside where is also garden.

GGuest UserThis hotel is LGBT-friendly, although I'm not. But it still surprised me a little bit.
The hotel rooms, like other budget hotels in Europe, are relatively small. But it was quite clean and tidy, and it was a bit quiet. I had a really good sleep during those few days.
What is not so good is the hotel breakfast. It has basically not been changed in 11 days. It is always the same, which makes people sad.
