Hotel Transit Loft

I wanted to stay in a family friendly affordable hotel and found this. It meet the criteria in many ways, but we started out by having to step over a drunk guy who passed out in the hallway! Needless to say that doesn’t feel leave you with a safe feeling! The reception is open 24/7 but it’s on the 3 floor, our room was on the 4th floor and there is free access from the street with the lift to any floors. The rooms are run down there was a hole in the wall, the sink broke and you can feel the springs through the sheets. The breakfast buffet, has a decent vanity of food, it’s super messy though and no one wipes down the tables between guests - and easy fix would be to have a bucket out for guests to use themselves, if the staff can’t do it.

Hotel Transit Loft This is a budget hotel, very central. Rooms equipped with bare minimum for your stay ( towels, bedlinen, hairdryer). Very nice buffet breakfast served till midday. There is also a bar, so you can have a drink before bed. You can walk to Alexander Platz, but be aware it is 4 stops by tram.

Great breakfast spread, rooms were basic but did the job for a school trip, would come again with a large group. The surrounding area is slightly rough however the hotel is in a good location to travel easily into the city centre. Would recommend to other school trips

Good value for its price, a cool place to stay at, breakfast was really good. Maybe a little loud at times, but it is very close to the tram station and the center of Berlin. There many shops and restaurants nearby.

We stayed her for 3 nights in September. Family room for 3 adults. Basic but warm and comfortable and let's fact it, you really only use this as a base. 4 stops on a tram from Alexandraplatz but within walking distance should you prefer to walk. Few bars and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is served from 7am until 12 noon and is adequate with a limited variety but you will not starve. Can get noisy at night with corridor noise but that's to be expected. On the whole it is clean and comfortable.

We stayed 2 nights in Hotel Transit Loft and we're a family of 4 with 2 young teenagers, The overall vibe is more hostel than hotel but the rooms were comfortable and clean. Check in was friendly and quick. our bedroom was on the 5th floor and had 4 single beds which were very comfortable. The room was nice and warm which was good as it was freezing on the weekend we visited. The bathroom was small and the towels and bit scratchy but really it was fine. Wi-Fi was super fast - no problem streaming videos or browsing the web. We were in Berlin off-peak but we found the place quiet at night with no loud corridor noise. Breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate to get you started. Juice coffee, cereal, fruit, cold meats and bread. The area is very nice with lots of cozy cafes, shops and restaurants within easy reach and good public transport options. Overall I would have no hesitation recommending.
