As I knew the hotel form years ago when it was already old- or out-fashioned and it has been temporarily used to host refugees, I had hoped it would have been modernized a bit. That is partially true. The lobby and breakfast room look new, but nothing is really modern. Simple room, very hot shower (but in the tub with an old-fashioned plastic curtain). They announced that my room would be cleaned each second day, but that didn't happen. The room was rather small for two people and the bathroom can hold only one person (if the other is not in the bath tub). Luckily I was on my own. There are no amenities or a coffee maker available (there is hardly space for it). Still sufficient place to stock your clothes. Toilet flushing is noisy and especially that of the neighbours during the night, so best to keep the bathroom door closed. Simple breakfast with a decent choice, though nothing special. The bar is in th hotel lobby and manned by reception personal. They claimed it would be open 24/7, and at least close to 11 at night we could still get drinks. But you couldn't put them on your hotel bill. This is a hotel with nothing additional and some things that they can still improve and modernize. It is frequented by tour groups for which it delivers enough and has a fairly central location as far as you can speak ofa centre in Berlin
