I recently stayed at Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan, and it was a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff’s warm hospitality made me feel welcomed and relaxed. The ryokan is set in a beautiful, serene location, surrounded by nature, offering a peaceful retreat from daily life. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in traditional Japanese style, blending modern comforts with authentic charm. The private onsen attached to my room was a highlight, allowing me to unwind in soothing hot springs while taking in the picturesque views. What truly sets Kannawaen apart is the attention to detail and personalized service. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect, making me feel truly cared for throughout my stay. If you’re looking for a luxurious, tranquil getaway with impeccable service and a true Japanese experience, I highly recommend Kannawaen Sanso Ryokan. It’s a place we would love to visit again. When we went to check-in service staff, were very polite The room view is very good looking at the sea The hotel is relatively old-fashioned overall, but the rooms are clean The slightly worse problem is that the toilet has a dip smellThis thing is worse

Location was relatively near places with food. There is free coffee provided to all hotel guests at the lobby. Room was on the smaller side.

Although it is quite a distance from Beppu Station (if you don’t want to walk, you can take a bus and get off at Beppu Tower), but it is worth it for the sea view. The hotel is also very considerate in informing the sunrise time in the elevator the next day, which can be enjoyed in the room or on the embankment. Great. The room has a sense of age but is very spacious. It is very enjoyable to take a bath and look at the scenery. The service staff are kind and courteous. If you arrive at the hotel early, you will go through the formalities first and give you a voucher. Then your luggage will be delivered to the room. When you want to check in later, you can just hand the voucher to the counter.

Everything is just perfect , from the arrival welcome drinks and the staff are nice. The Onsen is also beautiful. One thing is not good is the flashing on top of the ceiling is quite annoying for people who don’t like any light during sleep. If it can be improve, say can switch off during night time. Probably it’s a perfect hotel for family vacation!

The hotel environment is good. The hotel room faces the sea. The price is reasonable. One hotel and two meals. There are different restaurants every day. The food in the restaurant is of good quality. It is very close to Hell Valley. There are Starbucks and KFC opposite the hotel.

Brand new faily building. Roof top spa there where you can see ocean right away. Room was clean and big enough for 3 of us Parking place is 3 mins walking distance and they pay you half of them which i paid 500 JP for whole day

Excellent location. Take the bus from Fukuoka Airport and get off at Beppu Kitahama. The hotel is right next to you. Although the room is small, it is very clean and comfortable, and the sound insulation is also good. It fully meets the needs of one person. There are indoor and outdoor hot spring baths on the second floor of the hotel. It is very comfortable to soak in the evening after walking during the day. The Japanese breakfast is delicious, and the service staff is polite, friendly and thoughtful. There are also two Western-style family restaurants next to the hotel, Jolly Pasta and Royal Host. The price is reasonable, and you can eat satisfactory at 130 per person. I will stay here again when I come to Beppu next time!

The triple room I booked was pretty good. The hotel is a bit old, but the location is OK. It's a seven or eight minute walk from the JR station. The hot springs are OK and not crowded. We almost booked it once in the morning and once in the evening. There are free popsicles on the first floor and an elegant lounge. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. The restaurant was on a high floor and the view was also good. Unfortunately, the dinner I booked was automatically abandoned without compensation because I arrived too late. Remember to arrive early if you have booked a meal at the hot spring hotel. There are hot springs everywhere in Beppu. The Hell Tour is worth going. There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel
