From Casa Frías cottage you can access a wide range of activities in a privileged natural environment. Mainly, it highlights the majestic Benicadell, summit of the homonymous mountain that forms part of the Sierra de Mariola, and that acts as the natural border between the provinces of Valencia and Alicante, separating the regions of the Vall d'Albaida and the Comtat.
Its slopes were already inhabited in prehistoric times, as attested by the archaeological site of "la Covalta", located at 889 meters above sea level, on the northern slopes of the Sierra de Benicadell. It is the remains of a walled Iberian settlement that occupied the top of a hill with abrupt cuts on its north face.
