We had to make an unexpected stopover in Bendigo, and needed to find something within walking distance of the Lake. There are a few hotels along that road and were so pleased that we chose the Tea House. We needed 2 rooms to accommodate both our small groups. The rooms were lovely, they looked updated and modern, very clean and tidy, and welcoming! It was great to see a large fridge, microwave and all the cutlery/crockery a family might need. We had a great nights sleep, and if we’re in Bendigo again we’d certainly re book here.

We are now in our fifth year of spending our annual holiday at The Tea House … with occasional short stays as well. Friends are intrigued, of course, because we live less than 4kms from this tremendous tropical themed motel, ideally located opposite Lake Weeroona. We have done our share of travelling … and it is now the destination alone that matters … a problem solved by having one of the most relaxing motels in the State on our very “doorstep”. The clincher for us is the 18-jet in-room spa, which is BY FAR the best we have ever encountered …. anywhere. Yep … the pleasure of staying at The Tea House …. on top of our time and fuel savings …. is a win-win situation.

I was a walk in at this motor inn yesterday evening. It is in a nice location, opposite the lake in Bendigo. I was really impressed by the quality of the renovation of my room, which was a king room. There was a kitchenette with a microwave and a sink and good utensils etc for a couple. The bathroom was as new, with modern fittings, good water pressure and plenty of towels. It was a spacious room with a small table and chairs, as well as a couch. While the exterior has the appearance of an older style motel, do not be deterred- it was a real find in Bendigo and I would definitely stay there again

Best ever pillows and when I contacted them to ask about where they got them they were very helpful. Rom was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. If i ever go back I would stay there again. Great amenities. Room was also nice and quiet - couldnt hear other guests or noise.

The room was really cosy and clean. I was really impressed by how stocked up the kitchen was with pots, pans and even cutlery. Overall a really nice homey place that i would definitely stay in again ☺️

Brent was understanding to my needs to have a corner room and a large carpark. Didn’t disappoint. This property also has water hoses to wash the car and windscreen squeegee to clean and get rid of bugs. The room is spacious, newly renovated, comfortable bed with nice furniture and a kitchenette Although I had my own drinks and snacks, the fridge was well stocked and was reasonably priced. The property layout was well designed and the grounds well maintained. Lake Weerona is just across the road. My only complaint is the Aircondition was noisy during the night.

Absolutely amazing service, looked after us because partner was in hospital, very clean facilities, great location and amazing cheap breaky even with awesome coffee. Strongly recommend staying at the tea house look forward to coming back for getaways

We had such a positive experience from the booking, to being greeted through to departure. Recently refurbished room (& bathroom) was fresh, clean and spacious. Perfectly presented & had all the modern conveniences. Also nice & quiet - no traffic noise. The bed was very comfortable, and a nice size. Well located, across the road from the lake and a short walk to a great selection of hotels & cafes. Highly recommended

Jody and Brent are amazing hosts and the motel rooms contain everything you need. The rooms and the outdoor areas are well maintained. I feel very safe when I stay, and the location is perfect. This was my 5th booking and they are always my first contact when I’m in Bendigo. Highly recommend this family run business.
