Red Lion Inn & Suites Deschutes River Bend

The hotel is located near the department store and around 22 km from RDM. I stayed here for four nights during the conference in Bend. The room was fine, and the breakfast was OK for me (not that much food, but that totally fine for me). The cleanliness of the room is acceptable, but since this is a pet-friendly hotel, you might be expected some animals further on your clothes if you sit on the floor or sofa (the bed is clean because they usually clean it up). The hotel does not provide the cleaning service unless you ask them to do so one night before in advance (as they use the sub-contract, IMHO). Well, if you are not expecting that much (this is not a luxury hotel), and just stay as a part of work (e.g., business travel), this might be a good choice, compared with the cost performance. Tip: better to have an upper floor (second floor). The floor is a little bit thin, and you might hear the sound of someone walking with shoes above your room (as I stayed on the first floor). Also, the second floor seems better for security reasons as someone might walk pass your room on day and night (especially at night) but I did not find any unsafe situation during the stay.

This was our last night on a week long trip and it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a long time. Great value and a clean, comfortable room. Super staff!

The service, room, and breakfast were all outstanding. On a busy road so a bit noisy at night sometimes but we didn’t mind that.

Easy on and off the highway. The room was very clean. There was a noticeable smell of bleach but that was ok, it was well cleaned. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure was good. We took advantage of the included breakfast and it was good. Waffles, eggs, bacon and all the normal things. We would stay again.

LOUD EVERYTHING! Heater was so loud I couldn’t use it. The refrigerator fan/condenser whined all the time. The bathroom fan whined when turned on. The hotel is situated in between two busy highways. Extremely loud traffic all night. The hotel is older and you hear everything on either side of your room. The shower insert was cracked and the seems that were repaired had mold in the cracks. The bathroom smelled of animal urine. The floor lamp bulb was out. I stayed for 6 days at this hotel, I would not recommend this facility nor will I stay there again.

Another sports parent picked this hotel for us and I booked trusting her lol but it wasn't really a hotel, more like a motel. The doors lead to outside (and you can't really tell that from the pics), there are not really any comfortable common areas for groups to hang out, no restaurant or cozy bar area, and the rooms/bathrooms are TINY. there was a cleaning towel left on the floor of our room when we got there. breakfast was average. Staff was very friendly and parking was super easy so that was good.

The staff at check in was great attitude. Nice smile and friendly. Just needed a overnight and back on the road.

It was quiet. It has flooring and seemed like it needed to be washed as my daughter's and my socks were were very dirty , since we took our shoes off and walked around in socks. The waffle maker was broken, otherwise breakfast was better than most motel inclusive breakfasts.
