Hotel Restaurant Rose des Pyrénées

The hotel is easy to find with plenty of free car parking. The views of the surrounding mountains are great and it makes a great base to explore the western Pyrenees. The rooms are very comfortable, very quiet, very big and well appointed. The hosts are lovely and were disappointed to learn we were only staying one night which meant we would miss their El Salvador themed event the following night. They insisted we try some food from their home country and even showed us the correct way to eat it. Thank you very much for your hospitality Alejandra and Andrea, we will return next summer on our motorcycles.

The staff was very nice and the location by the river is very beautiful. BUT the food was disappointing. The salmon was overcooked, food lacked tast in general and was too greasy. The hotel and restaurant have a very peculiar atmosphere, it did not appeal to us. Too much and trying too hard. Less is more.

Having walked down the river from Quillan we arrived in Belvianes feeling rather hungry. We were greeted by very friendly staff who showed us to a lovely table and were incredibly attentive throughout the entire meal. We were astounded by the quality of the food for such a reasonable price! I had the chèvre burger which I will happily admit was one of the best (if not the best) burger I have ever eaten! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beautiful surroundings, amazing food and welcoming hosts. We will definitely be back again!

I have never been to a place like this before. Every detail is so beautifully placed and you can really feel the love of the people who are running this little piece of paradise in the heart of the Pyrenees. The team loves what they are doing and it shows in the attention and joy they put in the service. The restaurant offers local products of French and international cuisine which are cooked with lots of love. The rooms are modern and have everything one need. The pool was another highlight since I was visiting during one of the hottest days in Summer, and the walk along the nearby river was also breathtaking. I cannot wait to come back and experience even more of the peace I found here!

What a wonderful experience! This is a hidden gem, nestling just off the D117 and only a couple of kilometers from Quillan, in Belvianes. My husband and I met a friend for lunch at the Rose des Pyrénées today. We had never been to this hotel before and when we had parked and began walking down the gravel drive, we were immediately aware of a certain quirkiness. There were various little areas in the gardens on either side of the drive, sanctuaries inviting the visitor in to relax and find peace. The swimming pool looked tempting on this very hot day, set among beautifully kept grounds abound with colourful trees and plants. Walking a little further, we came across a bridge over a stream and, beyond that, the restaurant terrace, the mountains and the River Aude. Upon arriving at Reception, we were warmly greeted by the Manageress who showed us to the restaurant. We walked through the elegant, beautifully appointed interior of the hotel which, again, provided calm, homely seating areas. Our waitress was charming and spoke French, English, Spanish, Italian and German! We were each offered a moist hand towel to freshen up, as the waitress explained that the Rose des Pyrénées prides itself on providing excellent customer service with the personal touch. We ordered apéritifs: a glass of Blanquette for me and homemade lemonade for the two chaps. Then we were served a mini Bruschetta with olives just to whet our appetites! Not having much idea what to expect, we were delighted to discover an eclectic mix of French, Spanish, Italian and Mexican cuisine. We ordered Calamari, Pork Terrine and Spanish Tortilla to start, followed by Mexican Fajitas for three. Everything was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious! Two of us then devoured a creamy Panna cotta with homemade jam and my husband enjoyed ice cream. The waitress explained that, with a little notice, the menu could be tailored to suit. Suddenly we realized that we had spent three hours drinking in our surroundings and reveling in treats for our tastebuds and so we ran out of time to take a tour of the hotel. We paid the bill, which was so reasonable and vowed to return. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The staff were friendly, professional and so welcoming. The food was just awesome! This is a place to come and enjoy peace and tranquillity. Give it a try and I promise that you won’t be disappointed!

This is an amazing hotel. I have no other words! Surrounded by mountains and right next to the river! It even has a pool to refresh during the hot days! The gardens are well taken care of, there are amazing corners to discover and to enjoy.the personnel are extremely friendly and help you with any request. The food at the restaurant is delicious, you get great value for money for sure. Its a hidden gem in the Aude region! Definitely worth a visit!
