Château Salavaux

My wife and I stayed at the Château for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff is charming, the food (both breakfast and dinner) was great and the hotel room was cozy. With Avenches and Morat just around the corner, there's plenty to see on a weekend. Plus: With the bus stop right around the corner it's also really easily accessible by public transport. We are looking forward to coming back some time during the warmer months of the year and enjoying the culinary part of the stay outside in the beautiful garden.

We have stayed for one night in a superior room, which was super lovely and neat. Having a homemade welcome-cake in the room was a great positive surprise. In the evening we had dinner by chosing the seasonal Menu. The food was all outsourced locally and the taste and quality were outstanding! Big bravo to the Chef as well as for the three owners Neila, Flavio and Maurits! We’ll be coming back soon

We had a very enjoyable time during our stay at this place. The managing team is excellent and making sure that you stay is comfortable. The room we had was modern and functionable. In short - nothing fancy but quite comfortable. The restaurant offers excellent food but in the upper end from a price standpoint. I believe that the management team has decided to focus more on short stay and gastronomic cuisine than guest spending a week for relaxation. If you were to stay several nights the menu could offer more options im the mid-range price. Local products and quality are clearly a priority and much appreciated at our end.

Some months ago, my husband and myself, we have decided to go back to the Chateau Salavaux. We were clients since many years and we loved the cuisine and kindness of the old owners. When we arrived we have noticed the changes in the decor of the rooms and the addition of electric bikes for the guests and we have considered these changes very positive. What we did not appreciate was the food that was served as it was not up to our gastronomic standards and obviously overpriced. Moreover the lady that served us was all but kind. Overall a disappointing experience. I hope they will modify their dining options and quality as well as a re-training of the personnel.

Très bel endroit pour découvrir la région . Le service est impeccable et la table gastronomique est très raffinée avec des produits locaux et parfaitement élaborés . Le personnel est au petit soin pour que vous vous sentiez bien et passiez un bon moment

Meine Frau und ich hatten das Vergnügen, ein verlängertes Wochenende in diesem aussergewöhnlichen Schloss zu verbringen. Das Besitzerpaar war an diesem Wochenende zwar nicht vor Ort, doch wurden wir von Geschäftsführer-Kollege Maurits sehr herzlich empfangen. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hatten wir stets das Gefühl, dass das gesamte Team alles daransetzte, uns einen erstklassigen Service zu bieten und dafür zu sorgen, dass wir uns rundum wohlfühlten. Das Hotel liegt in einer atemberaubenden Region, umgeben von drei wunderschönen Seen. Schon die Umgebung allein ist eine Reise wert – doch unsere positive Erfahrung reichte weit darüber hinaus. Das Seeland bietet nicht nur hervorragende Weine, sondern auch weitere hochwertige landwirtschaftliche Produkte, die in der Küche des Hauses gekonnt zum Einsatz kommen. Wir genossen beispielsweise zwei exquisite Wine & Dine-Abendessen mit je fünf Gängen – eine raffinierte, kreative Küche für Geniesser. Jeder Gang war ein kulinarisches Highlight, kunstvoll angerichtet und geschmacklich ein Erlebnis, orchestriert von Chefkoch Philippe Bouteille. Die begleitenden Weine – meist aus der Region – passten jeweils perfekt und rundeten das Menü harmonisch ab. Ein weiteres Highlight war eine Radtour durch die malerischen Weinberge bis hin zu den drei Seen – ein unvergessliches Naturerlebnis. Wir können das Château Salavaux allen empfehlen, die Wert auf eine ausgezeichnete Küche, herzlichen Service und ein stilvolles Ambiente legen. Hier erlebt man Gastfreundschaft auf hohem Niveau – wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
