Holiday via crystal ski who list this accommodation as being ‘ski-in/ski-out’ Which it categorically is not. This is nothing to do with any ski ability, it just physically isn’t possible to ski even close. Reception were misleading, saying it was easier to get to the ski area via the 7th floor exit, but it is probably much of a muchness, just via a different route. Gondola is fairly close, but at least 1/4 mile away. You need to walk along stairs/ wooden planking/ brick walkways to get to it. Can be a bit precarious when icy. Accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. I stayed in a studio apartment with 2 bunk beds, a sofa bed in the lounge and bath/ sink with separate toilet. Bath is a weird shape, had a sort of bilateral inner shelf, so wasn’t the most comfortable to relax in. The actual design defies logic, and do not think we’d have anything quite like it in the UK. The wall heaters seemed a bit archaic, but managed to get them to work when needed. I would probably stay here again if visiting La Plagne again. The ski resort itself is fairly good, but I’d personally prefer more reds. Lots of blues with long periods of flat skiing which isn’t particularly challenging. Loads of off piste, but insurance doesn’t covert you for that, so it’s a tad risky to venture off the main slopes. Beautiful scenery though, and some nice tree-lined slopes lower down. This isn’t the only accommodation crystal class as ski-in/ski-out when it is not. They need to sort this out, as very misleading.
