Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing, especially considering we paid around £300 for three nights. The biggest issue was the sofa bed provided for our daughter. The mattress was extremely thin and uncomfortable, and she struggled to sleep properly throughout the stay.
Breakfast was also a real let-down. The hot selection was very limited, with dried-out food and only scrambled eggs available. We asked whether fried or poached eggs were available and were told no. There was also no ham or cheese, so the breakfast felt very basic compared with what we expected from a Holiday Inn Express.
Sleep was made even more difficult by the amount of noise at night. We could hear people coming and going, doors repeatedly slamming and noise from the rear of the hotel.
On the positive side, the location was useful for exploring Belfast and the staff we dealt with were polite. However, for approximately £300, we expected a much more comfortable stay. The lack of sleep, particularly for our daughter, really affected our experience and unfortunately we would not choose to stay here again.
