This is perhaps one of the most beautify trout fishing venues in South Africa. But the atmosfere surpassed my expectations. Under new management this dynamic family has forced their lovely efforts onto the smallest details... trees are maintained, gardens are kept, the river is clean, the place oozes from friendliness and nature excel in this well-kept farm. If the trout are quiet, then catch bass of kurpers. If both are quiet try your luck in the river, or just light a fire, sit back and enjoy the view. You can hike for miles, visit historical places, have a picnic or just do nothing... either way this place will definitely fill that "gap" which was the reason you wanted to get out of the city in the first place. You will not regret your visit!

We loved it, the beauty of nature there is very relaxing, we will go longer next time. Travel during the day the roads are a challenge but really worth the stay.

We stayed in the Luxury Tent. The honeymoon suite. Very comfortable and most enjoyable Due to the recent heavy rain the fishing wasn't at it's best.

Beautiful tented housing overlooking the dam. Clean dams for bass and trout Santie was very friendly and see to it that the place was spotless clean everyday. (With Bettie) Will go back.

Fantastic quiet getaway. Definitely recommended to one and all Scenic route in to the property, beautiful rolling greens hills leading into the valley. And the property is stunningly well maintained

We enjoyed the retreat so much we will definitely go back again. The bungalow was beautiful, clean, well layed out and comfortable. The sound of water running and lovely trees surrounding was calming.. The views are exquisite. Even though the road to there is a bit rough, it is doable. It was definitely worth the travel.
