Hotel Family-friendly Beihai

The front desk was nice and did her best to accommodate me in English, including providing her WeChat in case I had any questions. They also upgraded my room since mine wasn’t available at check-in. Be aware, the majority of the guests were senior citizens, depending on what type of vibe you want with your hotel.

We are traveling as a couple this time, and we specially chose the Shangri-La Hotel, Beihai to stay in a sea view room from September 9th to 13th. The facilities are complete, the sanitary conditions are good, and the environment is very good. Put down your luggage, take a rest, and then walk from east to west on the sea plank road, take a walk to the sea, and feel very happy. The service level of the entire hotel is first-class. Whether it is management personnel or general employees, including doormen, they all greet you with smiles and whisper greetings when they come in and out. We went to the Chinese restaurant and the buffet restaurant for dinner twice, with rich dishes, excellent cooking, and thoughtful service. Especially the buffet breakfast, it is a visual and taste enjoyment. There was a girl with long braids who was very enthusiastic to see us and called us ”grandparents”, which made us feel very cordial. When we learned that our return flight was relatively early, we also prepared fruits and sandwiches for us to take to the airport to eat while waiting for the flight. Beihai Shangri-La Hotel is the sixth hotel we have stayed in over the years. We have to admit that the management level of Shangri-La Hotel Management Group is consistent and always online.

Great location near silver beach. About a 5 minute walk to get to the beach. The hotel is very clean. The room was comfortable. The first night felt cold and the next day the hotel staff brought a small heater to our room and that helped a lot. The service was great. The breakfast buffet was decent. My only complaint was the noise from all the families being loud in the hallways. Yelling, running, playing around without consideration towards other guests. The family above our room would be running and jumping around the room. Very easy to hear them all. Next time I will ask for a room on a quieter floor away from all the families.

The second hotel on the trip to Weizhou Island. Needless to say, the location is near the Blue Bridge. The sea view room I chose is 1450 this season. The price-performance ratio is good. It's like a house built on the beach. It feels wonderful to listen to the waves and fall asleep! But the distance between the rooms is very close (a walking path, and the fence does not block the view). I live at the edge and it's okay! But there is really no harm without comparison. Coming from the last homestay, I suddenly felt that there was no service. The biggest difference between homestays and hotels is that the former pays more attention to service details and various personal experiences, while the latter pursues hardware environment and comfort! ! After checking in, a special person took me into the room and introduced the room facilities and related supplies. Then there were various patterned care text messages after leaving the store! ! The worst experience was the power bank at the front desk. It is an extremely rare brand. It was not scanned and started to charge. It took nearly 20 minutes to solve it. The service staff said that it was a problem with my phone signal. It happened yesterday. After I actively sought help, they helped me solve it, but it was speechless! Why not choose a popular power bank manufacturer to avoid such problems! This is just a small episode. The overall feeling is that except for the room type, there is no desire to come again! The service style of this store is casual and comfortable. They will help you if you ask for it. The restaurant is also like this. It feels very homely (the food in the restaurant tastes good)! If you like this natural and casual feeling, you can try it! There are many choices of homestays. I will not come here again next time!

Great hotel, room and view were amazing!!! Free pickup and drop off to the fairy Station. Room was super beautiful, spacy, and the view was stunning. You can rent a electric scooter at the front of the hotel and just stroll around the island. Recommend to go to Wucai Beach for the sunrise. One problem - breakfast time is only 8:00-9:30. Personally I think it's a very short period for a vacation hotel and ends quite early. Also, once some food ends - they don't refill, it's just over. Came in at 9:10 and many things were finished. Other than the breakfast issue, everything was really great. Had a wonderful weekend here :)

The hotel is in a great location, opposite the Beihai Underwater World, with Golden Beach on the right and Beihai Old Street on the left. It is very suitable for family outings, very convenient for travel, and the butler service is in place. I am very happy to choose such a good hotel as Coconut

Traveling with two children, the location is very close to the passenger port. Thank you to Xiao Zhang from the reservation department for upgrading the room. The check-in was quick and the room was clean. There were fresh fruits in the room every day and many extra bottles of water were given every day. I have eaten breakfast, Chinese food, and buffet in the hotel. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The Chinese food is plentiful and reasonably priced, but the waiters in the Chinese restaurant are not as enthusiastic as the front desk and appear to be slack. The buffet is okay. The good food stall on the left side of the north gate of the hotel is good, and it feels better than the internet celebrity restaurant Yuexiang Kitchen in Qiaogang Fengqing Street.

I stayed here when it was newly opened, but I never thought that it would change so much in ten years. Let me start with the good: the hotel is located on Guanling Mountain, the lung of the North Sea, surrounded by green trees, facing the sea in spring, and the environment is excellent. The hotel is a manor-style small building with exquisite and unique structure, spacious rooms, high ceilings, no sense of oppression, and a large balcony outdoors, where it is very pleasant to watch the mountains and the sea and bask in the sun. Disadvantages: The room facilities lack maintenance, the wallpaper is bulging and has black spots, and it feels very shabby. The balcony wooden floor is old and rotten, and has not been updated and maintained in time. The balcony door is also seriously deformed and difficult to close. The building has a closed lobby management, but there is no welcome service and no ventilation. After entering, a moldy smell is pervasive and it is very unpleasant. Five-star location, five-star framework, five-star room rate, but there is no five-star service and five-star quality, which needs to be improved.

Very good, must be five-star praise, Zhuo Zhuo Director service is super smiley face warm greetings, communication is smooth, the whole stay process is pleasant and assured, the price is super high, the environment is good, the location is very good, from the train station to take a taxi in ten minutes, It’s really convenient to go shopping and eat nearby. There is a large shopping mall next to the Beibuwan Square in the city. You can go shopping and taste a variety of food. It takes 20 minutes to take a taxi with friends from the hotel to Qiaogang Style Street. It’s very convenient to go anywhere. The hotel room is very big and I like it very much, the bed is super comfortable, the layout of the hotel is very simple, all kinds of facilities are complete, and the hygiene is more meticulous. Very satisfied with a stay experience!

The overall environment of the homestay is good. There is a swimming pool and a relatively large yard. The layout of the first floor is very unique, and there are many places to take pictures. It is a large villa area with many homestays. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Silver Beach. The male waiter is good and enthusiastic ❤. He also gave a small guide, thumbs up 👍 The more annoying thing is that the elderly I took on a tour said in advance that they would like a room on the 3rd floor, but they were given a room on the 2nd floor. Then they were moved to the 3rd floor. The window looked out of other villas and there was no scenery. I had to catch a flight on the last day and didn't have breakfast. The business should make improvements in this regard. For tourists who have to catch a car or a plane, they should prepare some breakfast in advance that can be taken away.
