Sheraton Mountain Vista Villas, Avon / Vail Valley

來滑雪訂的，挺不錯的，房間很大，有廚房，可以做飯，因為酒店基本沒有早餐。停車可以停地下室，不然像我停門口，第二天要挖雪半小時。其他的就是頂樓的温泉很贊，可以看到美麗的雪山

Great location and great amenities. We only wish we had known there is no AC in the rooms. As a result, you’ll have to leave window and screen door open and use fans. It works until the guest(s) below start grilling and the fumes come into the room. In the small villas, they probably should have put in a 2-burner cooktop for breakfast. Fans were okay, but almost went to Home Depot or Walmart and bought a portable AC since we drove…..

No air conditioning. You have the choice of closing the windows and staying awake all night due to the heat, or opening the windows and staying awake all night due to the noise- I-70 traffic, car horns and alarms, dogs barking, party goers, etc. Winter time I’m sure the hotel would be fine. Summertime? Not so much.

It is dated (think early 90s) but clean and well maintained. However, having no A/C in miserable. Even if the temp is only 75 with direct Colorado sun a room will heat up to 90. The windows in the bedroom only opened 1 inch so there was no. "cool mountain breeze" or "nature's A/C". Also in the Summer when you have open windows you have full sun at 5am. You'll also get to enjoy your neighbors smoking. I would stay here in the Winter but not May through September. I don't need to pay to feel like I'm camping. Anyone who tells you you don't need A/C in the Vail Valley in the Summer is delusional.

My stay was exceptional! The staff were friendly, and the room was beyond comfortable. Everything you need within a short walking distance. I would like to recognize Andrew S. for embodying the genuine care given that this industry needs. Thank you!

Great location, great facilities. Easy shuttle to BC village for skiing. Nice pool, hot tub sauna. Right in town of Avon so close to food and bar options. Property is maintained well and the rooms are extremely comfortable. Would stay again for sure!

Not the worst place in the world to stay, rooms are pretty nice, but the service is absolutely horrendous. The front desk lacks any hospitality experience and are out right rude. Unless you’re a Marriot gold/ platinum member don’t bother coming in before 4, they will make you wait until the clock strikes 4 to hand you the keys. Even if the room is available you will be made to wait while other “members” get their keys. I just wish they were upfront about their checkin policy, instead made us wait in the lobby for three hours.

The Pros: helpful staff. Easy parking. Easy to access luggage carts. There are ski lockers, which we didn’t use but which looked helpful. The Cons— and big caveat— applies to lower level floors and the small villa rooms. Do NOT reserve a small villa room unless you have no better options. The layout is not good. And there’s an adjoining door to the next room— which would be good if you’re a large party and reserve both. But for us, what it meant was that we could hear next door neighbors very easily. We opened windows because the room got stuffy and the noise from street was loud. The solution was to pull out the box fan that was in the closet for “white noise.” This made the street noise tolerable. But all in all, I wouldn’t stay in this hotel again unless I’m on the top floor and in a larger room.

I chose this property over a hotel because I wanted to be able to cook in the room and save some money. So at the time I booked it, I didn’t think it was a big deal that there was no restaurant in the building. Upon arrival, we went food shopping and bought breakfast staples and a couple of items to cook dinners at home. Imagine my utter shock when I saw that there was no stove and no oven in our room. There’s a fireplace, a giant microwave, a barbecue, a washer and dryer unit, a large fridge and freezer, placesettings, pots, and pans, a dining room table with four chairs…AND NO STOVE OR OVEN. AND NO RESTAURANT IN THE BUILDING!! Why anyone would voluntarily stay in this “Vacation Club” over a hotel is completely beyond me!! They don’t even have a hot plate to use at the front desk. But thank goodness for the massive fridge and freezer I can use to store all of the food I can’t cook. I think it’s completely horrible that Marriott is not upfront with this massive difference between the larger and smaller “villa” (VILLA!!! Hahaha) and I’m just glad I used points for this. I would have been irate if I paid for this crappy place and then had to eat every meal out as well!! Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!
