I visited Beaune with my Nephew; he had a junior suite off the Courtyard and I had a standard room on the first floor. Both rooms were magnificent, with amazing bathrooms. The hotel is perfectly situated, just a couple of mins walk from the Place Carnot, in the centre of Beaune. The hotel is clean and the service is wonderful. Full of history and well located, and very reasonably priced - I will stay here again

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Les Remparts Hôtels et Demeures Historiques earlier this week (Sept 2024) as we wrapped up a two week trip. Having spent 7 nights on a longboat down the Rhine River, we loved the spacious room and bath/shower, along with the beautiful accommodations and finishes in our room. We didn't realize the significant historical significance of the property until we had gotten home. Arnaud greeted us and took great care of us, including getting us settled and luggage to our third floor room, restaurant recommendations, directing us where to grab our bag lunch for our all-day wine tours, breakfast service, pouring the best wine, etc. And Louie saw us off and ensured our prompt trip to the train station. Thank you, Arnaud and Louie! We loved the fresh breakfast and great coffee, nice breakfast area, wonderful patio/courtyard area and cool bar area with an awesome wine list. The assistance with wine tour recommendations, restaurant reservations, tips and advice, etc etc was spot on. We commend Bruno and Emmanuelle on a beautiful property and preserving such a historic treasure! Along with employing the nicest and most courteous staff we came across on our two week trip to France, Germany and The Netherlands, you won us over as the only place to stay when we are back in Beaune.

A beautiful very French hotel with an extremely helpful and welcoming concierge/reception/manager (three in one) who checked us in and took our luggage to the room. The room was extremely nice and well appointed with lovely sheets, toiletries and tea/coffee. The courtyard breakfast was a nice touch although breakfast was a little disappointing for EUR 25 per head. That said we would definitely stay again although perhaps have breakfast out. If I was to knock the hotel at all it would be a lack of decent shaving mirror which is unfortunately commonplace in a lot of good hotels.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was large with 2 windows looking out onto the beautiful courtyard. The bathroom was also large, but could have hooks to hang up towels and toiletry bags. Breakfast was served inside as it was too cool to eat in the courtyard. The buffet had excellent selections, and hot made-to-order egg dishes were also offered. Beaune, old city, is not large and everything was easily reached by foot within minutes. Parking was a block away, and free. Our room was up one floor by stone spiral steps. They were charming rather than difficult (we are early 70’s) and contributed to the ambiance of the hotel. Perfect place to stay for 2 nights.

We were so lucky. Our air BNB host put us here for 1 night since the electricity wasn’t working. What a treat for us! Lydie placed us in a renovated room and the king bed was super comfortable. Grand Echezeaux was our room. Opened windows for a cool breeze and overlooking scenic courtyard. Our breakfast was wonderfully French. Overloaded on fresh croissants/ butter / jams & scrambled eggs. We were awakened at 5:30 by the couple above us - rolling suitcases around. Maybe choose a top floor if noise is an issue. We would definitely stay here again. Beautiful historical building too.

Beautiful little hotel with fantastic bed and bathrooms. Very clean and staff were very friendly. We did not have breakfast as we preferred to wander into town. Better coffee making facilities would have been nice. (Or perhaps instructions for the coffee machine)

We stayed here for two nights and wished we hadn’t.The first room smelt of very bad mould/damp and had huge square holes which were unsightly and the damp/mould gave me constant coughing fits. Health and safety was a huge concern as I am asthmatic.The upstairs room were up super early banging for two hours constantly scraping chairs and shouting.I complained to reception twice and wanted to check out as our monies had been paid pre arrival and no manager was available to allow us to check out even when ********** called them to express our concerns.We we’re offered a more modern room which was a lower category than the junior suite we paid in advance for.We was refunded the difference.Then night two was even worse.Yes it was a more modern room but jet lagged travellers staying in the room above meant constant footfall all we heard was constant banging throughout the night.Yes the hotel is central and reception staff are super helpful that’s the plus points.Beaune is a halfway stop off for those driving to the South of France and unfortunately we received the brunt of noisy inconsiderate jet lagged guests.My advice would be to find a hotel that has soundproofing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at this unique and historic hotel. It is an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station and a very quick walk to the downtown attractions in Beaune. Our room was on the third floor and up a windy staircase but it was large, quiet and very comfortable. (Check the hotel’s photos to see the rooms. Some people might not like the large beams overhead.) We had breakfast in the lovely courtyard every morning. Arnold at the front desk was very helpful and made some good suggestions for dinner and the light show downtown. It was definitely worth seeing. We will recommend this hotel to friends traveling to Beaune!

We stayed in this charming, historic hotel for three nights in May 2023. We had a large room overlooking the courtyard. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast is wonderful, and a nice start to the day. The hotel is located on a quiet street, but is an easy walk to the city center. There is some street parking, but we were advised to park in the nearby garage. It was very convenient. The staff is friendly, and willing to answer any and all questions. We will definitely stay here again.
