We had an unexpected overnight stay in this area, and a family room at the Lovat Arms was the only place available. But it was excellent! The receptionist was great, the room was spacious and clean - and the bathroom had a bath with super fast hot water! The room was v peaceful. The breakfast room was airy and light, and the breakfast tasty. Glad we stayed!

Had lunch, ordered two chicken supreme and vegetable curry. Waitress informed us there is a new chef, well the meal was absolutely amazing, very tasty and delicious. The mash with the chicken supreme was smooth and silky and a flavoursome mushroom sauce. Had a taste of the curry it was amazing too. Very well done chef. The waitress was excellent at her job too, thank you..

Booked a dinner for two in the restaurant. Service was terrible. Starters came before our pre meal drinks had been served. Waited over 20 minutes from ordering to drink appearance. Main course was poor with cold chips and over salty chicken. A second drink was ordered with the meal which never came but was charged with the meal. All in all a very poor show. We won’t be back and I can’t recommend it to anyone.

My wife and I were going to a festival nearby hence the reason we stayed and it was amazing. The room was beautiful and clean - well done to housekeeping! The breakfast was delicious with plenty choice buffet style. We dealt with Will, David and Onya - they couldn’t do enough for us ,well done to you all and thank you so much. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend to others. Ps plenty parking space too. Regards Johnnie and Gillian.

When we went onto the website to book it wouldn't let us, so we called the hotel to book a double for a Sunday night, there was no confirmation email I have to email to double check what times we were to check in. We got to the hotel and it was lovely our room was beautiful a lovely fraser tartan. We had tea booked at 6 which was really tasty there was football on in the bar and everyone was getting a bit rowdy at one point we heard someone being thrown out. No one ever came and apologised I used yo work in the hotel business and if that had happened when I was on shift I would have apologised to the customers in the restaurant. We had breakfast the next day which was lovely but when we went to check out there was no one to be found in the ground floor of the hotel we searched for someone for 5/10 minutes but there was no apology. We were left a little disappointed.

Stayed here last Friday - we arrived at 1.30 so we weren't sure if we would be able to to check in early - we were greeted by Will the Manager who was friendly and nothing was too much bother. Room was lovely, clean and cozy. We had dinner in the evening which was excellent and then we retired to the Bar as they had a band playing. Great atmosphere. Altogether a fabulous stay, wishing Will, Linsey and Sam all the very best. I will definitely return. Many thanks 😊

Myself and a group of friends (20) stayed 2 nights whilst on a lads golfing trip. The new manger Will was very efficient and helpful. Lindsay couldn’t do enough for us and all the lads were delighted with her craic and service she provided. Breakfast and dinner was delicious as was the pints and nips. The rooms were warm and clean. Will definitely return.

An old fashioned Highland Hotel that could do with some upgrading. All of that was irrelevant though as the quality of service from the staff, particularly Grant and John, was worthy of a 5 star hotel. Great food and a nice atmosphere.

Called into this hotel as in the past we actually have stayed here & enjoyed a meal but this time we wanted to have a meal only to realise empty bottles at the bar were being thrown from quite a distance like DARTS into a bin it was beyond unbearable the person doing this was totally oblivious that guests were in the bar SO we sadly left & walked to another hotel & enjoyed a quieter ambiance & delicious meal .
