Keep on doing what you are doing. Closeness of restaurant to the rooms in the house may be a problem due to people talking. Lights leaving on throughout the night in the passage enlighten the room slightly. Switched the light off at 01:00 in the morning.

convenient and clean. needed a place to stay in travelling from Cpt to Jhb. Travalia provided a good halfway point to stop over.

We have good memories of former visits to Travalia, but this time was terrible. We were given room 4 in the main building just behind the kitchen. The refrigerators were humming all night long, severely disturbing our sleep. The clanging in the kitchen was audible till rather late. There was no glass in the bathroom. There was no shower, but only a bath, which was stained. We also missed a kettle for making our own coffee/tea. For this kind of treatment we would have expected a significantly lower rate than for example the cottages outside. The breakfast at the "padstal" the next morning was excellent though.

We stayed in one of the rooms in the house. It was okay but I have stayed at better guesthouse for less. I would recommend to rather book one of the chalets but it is a bit pricey.

Travalia is a beautiful place to experience the Karoo. We enjoyed a walk on the farm. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious.

Great place to relax and unwind in the gentle ambiance of the garden. My only complaint is that perhaps a non-slip mat is required in the shower and a hook behind the bathroom door
