When I was finally checked in, there was no recognition of my Marriott Bonvoy status, which I found disappointing. Another evening, I visited the bar and found the staff seemed inconvenienced when I inquired about a food menu. I was quickly informed that there was no chef on duty, but no alternative solutions or suggestions were offered. When I requested a glass of iced tea, I was told they had none. Later, I tried to find snacks at the front desk, but the selection was limited to gum and sodas. While I understand that management may face challenges with staff availability, it’s essential that customer service is prioritized. Staff should be trained to be more welcoming, attentive, and proactive, especially when guests arrive late and dining options are limited. Simple gestures like eye contact, a smile, and offering alternatives can make a significant difference. Overall, while the property is lovely and well-located, the customer service experience fell short of expectations for a Marriott brand.
