Paradisus Grand Cana

My girls and I had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were amazing, lots of fun daily activities, and all of the staff were friendly (treated like family). Yerfy Johnson was an amazing concierge and took care of our every need (reservations at restaurants, booking spa appointments, etc.).

This is thee worst vacation experience I've ever had. Paradisus Grand Cana was a huge disappointment with bad service and questionable cleanliness. The drinks at the bar were either watered-down syrup or they didn't know how to make the drink. Be aware that if they offer any sort of discount, they'll try to force you to sign a release/NDA that states you lose the right to any claim for you and your heirs in perpetuity. Also as we arrived stateside, we all got severely ill with fever, diarrhea and vomiting even though we were very careful washing hands, staying away from questionable foods and only using bottled water. Absolutely regret spending a week at Grand Cana

The resort is beautiful, my accommodations room was by far the best I have ever had in the 40 plus years travelling the Caribbean and mostly the DR. The food was very good for the most part. But in the restaurants. The buffet I found was limited. The staff was terrific and friendly the odd employee was not so much. We had their concierge service which was very helpful particularly when traveling with small children. The resort had a great number of events and activities for kids and family. If you are looking for a vacation that is quiet meaning adults only this is not the place, lots of small children and some screamers in the restaurants. Overall a good experience. Would recommend it for A family trip.

It's our first time going for an all inclusive and we had a wonderful time. We were travelling with our 5 and 8 year old kids. From the time we got there our concierge Julianna took care of everything from check in, to restaurant reservations, spa bookings, shuttle service and check out. She was very friendly and went out of her way to help us out. The rooms were very clean and looked like it was recently renovated. The pools, water park and beaches were all great. They also have a very good spa. The only thing that wasn't a 10/10 was the food. The first two days we were there, the main buffet restaurant was booked out for a private event, and the makeshift buffet at the pool side restaurant wasn't the best. Once we got access to the main restaurant on the third day is when we realized what we missed out on. The buffet there was really good. The steakhouse was average, the Teppanyaki restaurant was better, the sports bar was good, the beach side restaurant wasn't bad, but not too many options. The main buffet was the best option. It's just the pool side restaurant that I would not recommend. Overall was a great experience, very friendly staff. There were enough activities to keep us occupied during our time there - water aerobics classes, knitting, night circus, kids movie night. Also would recommend the professional photographer there, we got some great family photographs done at the beach and the garden - at an additional cost. We didn't even bother with any excursions since we had such a great time between the beach, pool and water park. We would love to visit again.
