Hollamoor Farm

I have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Hollamoor farm B&B with 6 other friends and our horses. Lady Caroline is the hostess with the mostest! When we arrived She greeted us with cake and tea and like old friends and looking fabulous. Our horses were all happy and settled in the paddocks with plenty of grass. Caroline briefed us on rides around the farm, how to get to the beach and also to the Moor. She helped us plan our riding each day with great detail and care- giving us maps and written instructions. We had the most fanatic rides each day. Her lovely husband George cooks a wonderful and yummy breakfast and jumbo the pony joined us which was hilarious! The property is charming and full of character at every turn. The rooms are very well equipped, unique and very comfortable. You never feel in the way or that you can’t relax. If you don’t like animals and expect a travel lodge feel to your room then this wouldn’t be the place for you. It’s a family farm with a priority of fun and living life. We ate at the boat house and Instow arms in Instow - both were excellent and very reasonably priced. We loved our stay and definitely will be back. We had the most wonderful stay at Hollimore Farm in Barnstaple, Devon – it truly is a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by Lady Caroline and Sir George, who are the most fabulous hosts you could ever hope to meet. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home and were incredibly accommodating, not only to me and my other half, Neil, but also to our little daughter, Harriet. They showed us nothing but kindness, patience, and genuine hospitality. The location is simply breathtaking – nestled in the rolling Devon countryside, the farm is beautifully kept, with picturesque views in every direction. It’s quaint, quintessentially English, and full of charm. Every corner of the property reflects care, tradition, and a deep love for the land. The farm itself is exquisite – full of character, immaculately clean, and lovingly presented. It's like stepping back in time, but with all the comfort and warmth of a perfect countryside retreat. We felt completely relaxed and at peace throughout our stay. Lady Caroline and Sir George are true naturals when it comes to hosting – friendly, thoughtful, and always happy to help, yet never intrusive. Their attention to detail and sincere generosity made our experience unforgettable. We genuinely could not have asked for a better place to stay. It was everything we hoped for and so much more. Great farm experience. Loved the round table and fireplace. Morning breakfast was excellent. Home feeling.

We stayed for three nights in February. We received a warm welcome but felt the accommodation was overpriced. Only basic toiletries provided (no conditioner) - the heated towel rail needed bleeding so the bathroom was not as warm as it could be - the coffee (jar) provided was solid and the bedding was 'tired'. The breakfast was fine... there were LOTS of books to read and the internet worked well. - No evening meals were on offer (we knew this in advance, but the information on line suggests they may be available). It was at a 'grey' time of year - we're sure the whole area would be beautiful later on.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming BnB in Devon! The property is beautifully kept, blending comfort and style with the tranquil beauty of the Devon countryside. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, providing little touches that made the experience even more special. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and catered to all our needs. Whether you're looking to explore Devon or simply relax, this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommend!

We had a very enjoyable 2 nights at this charming farm. Our room was a lovely recently converted barn en suite with lots of nice personal touches. The hosts were very friendly on our arrival and throughout. There is lots of hustle and bustle around the farm/farm yard with all the liveries looking after their horses. The location is excellent if you want to hit north Devon's famous beaches/cliff walks. I was a fan of the poached eggs, in particular! We would certainly go again.
