Service was good. Difficulties with shower, worn fixtures and building in general requires painting and flooring. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

Basic but clean, although I did find an insect in the bed. It wasn't a bedbug or anything nasty so i just dealt with it myself. There's free parking, although the car park is very small so not guaranteed to get a space. On a busy main road too, so a bit noisy. On my first night there were some residents who had been placed there by the Council. They weren't disruptive when I was there but apparently one had been "kicking off" the previous night. There was only one member of staff on shift, and I'm shocked that Travelodge put their staff in this position. Although all the staff I met were super helpful and pleasant, and clearly trying their best in difficult circumstances, unfortunately I doubt I'd stay again as the whole stay was just a little bit depressing.

Couldn't get to sleep on the last night (a Saturday) because of the heavy footed chatty people above, wasn't going to venture out to reception in my PJ's and also didn't relish at asking the young girls on reception to address the noise in case it became unpleasant for them. Anyway I sent an email thinking there was not a lot Travelodge could do about it but just felt that as I was awake at 2am I'd do something pro-active! On my return home Travelodge sent a very pleasant email and a voucher as a gesture of goodwill - which I wasn't expecting. Where we stayed was tired and dated but clean, the perfect location for our needs. The staff were excellent and we couldn't fault them, friendly and cheery, always happy to help with a great attitude, I would have no problem staying there again for this reason.

Great sized room, nice and quiet, and Sebastian the receptionist was super helpful. Thank you once again Sebastian I really do appreciate all your help. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Barnsley. Close to town centre and the staff really do go above and beyond to help out

Kaylee a star very professional at her job and and very welcoming She goes above and beyond to help her customers Rooms are clean and tidy The hotel it self is very cean Showers are spot on for just after that long day at work or along day travel You got pizza shops in 4 mins walking distance or pubs in 3mins walking Star bucks is across the road Will be back if down here again

All the personel was very kind with us, and most helpful. The room was big and had a decent bathroom (better than most I have stayed in). Well situated: next to supermarket, post office, bus stops, and different food restaurants. Only issue for us were the pillows, which were too bulky and hard (compared to our own pillows at home).
