The contemporary room with a view over the harbour and tidal fishing fleet was lovely (beware the glass walled bathroom - it hurts if you walk in to it !) . Comfortable, doors on to a timber deck, glorious views. However, the €82 six course dinner was horrible and a huge disappointment. Raw fish, raw beef and raw oysters, raw mackerel and asparagus, and so on. Beautifully presented by a surfeit of tweezers but hardly anything was actually cooked. A mouthful at best of the nicest items, two or three for the unpleasant. The head waiter spoke good English when we sat down but thereafter our requests were ignored in a barrage of Normand French. A bit like the Kings Clothes , a lot of ego and puff and the gullible will accept it , if we asked for anything it was ignored, after the six courses we adjourned to the lounge bar but were followed by a dish of something vaguely chocolate with a bowl of brown chicken grit - allegedly choc soil accordingly to our waiter. It needed a large Pastis 51 to restore the taste buds. Hotel in every respect superb, eat somewhere else for half the price and triple the pleasure. The one great disappointment in our gourmand trip around Normandy.
