Hotel Bologna

What a lovely holiday we all enjoyed. Five of us stayed here in August the hottest week of the year. Thanks God for the Hotels efficient air con, we couldn’t have managed without it. Great hotel , in a fab location with the most wonderful staff, you all made our holiday so memorable, thank you .My husband had a birthday during our stay and the hotel without prompting surprised him with a sing song at reception and a bottle of Prosecco at breakfast, lovely touch. Breakfast is good , however a toaster would make it very good., please consider. We loved Alberto at night he was a gentleman. Thank you for having us Hotel Bologna, we had a great time. A wonderful hotel situated a minutes walk to lake Garda and a 10 minute stroll to Bardolino centre. The hotel has friendly, attentive, helpful staff and is spotlessly clean and has a lovely atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. The swimming pool on the first floor roof is so welcoming and sun beds always available. Breakfast was a continental breakfast and was first class, plenty of choice, no rushing as staff would make sure that food was always replenished. We loved that you always had the same table which had your room number on it. We were celebrating a special wedding anniversary and had a bottle of champagne, card and dried flower arrangement on our breakfast table on the day. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely return to Bardolino and Hotel Bologna. Many happy memories were made on our stay, thank you.

This hotel is a gem! The decor isn’t the most up to date, but it is so comfortable and spotlessly clean. Everyone is friendly and helpful, great breakfast service and 2 minutes to the lake. I’d go back any time.

Just returned from an excellent stay at Hotel Bologna. This hotel is ideally situated for evenings in Bardolino and close to the bus stop for visiting all areas of Lake Garda. The welcome was warm and friendly, as was the service all week. The hotel is spotlessly clean and always a sun lounger available by pool. The breakfast was plentiful and the pool bar lift was ideal for cooling refreshments. Enjoyed every aspect of our stay and this hotel is a credit to the owners who are hard working and friendly and make you feel so welcome.

First visit to this wonderful city. Visit was due to going to gig, but gave myself extra time to explore. It's a fascinating city, lots of colonnades and interesting shops and museums. The architecture is brilliant, the towers certainly stand out. The food is excellent. The number of restaurants is large. I can recommend the open top bus tour, as well as just hop off and walk around, you will be surprised what you find. Also there is a large market square and there appears to be a different market each day . If you feel the need to get away from bologna. Take the short train journey to Imola. A short (30 minute) walk across Imola takes you to the famous racing circuit. On non race days, you can walk into the aqua minerale park, which makes up part of the circuit's infield. Here you can walk along beside the track and further in you can visit the infamous Tamborello corner, where the late Ayrton Senna was fatally injured in a crash in May1994. There is a staue to him at the trackside, which racing fans may find moving. A few minutes walk away is a tribute to Giles Villineuve, another motor racing legend. Just to note, there is also a memorial to Roland Ratzentburger, who died on the same weekend as Senna, unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit this one. Back to Bologna, the public transport is plentiful, cheap and clean. A tip for lavatories, if you are in need of one whilst out and about, seek out museums and the public buildings, the archaeology museum is €6. Is with a visit anyway and has toilets. The public buildings tend to be free and also have loos

Abbiamo dormitono e mio marito una notte in questo 'hotel. Arrivati alle 11,00 di sera ci ha accolti il portiere (così come eravamo d'accordo) che è stato molto gentile. Avevamo scelto questo hotel dopo aver letto le recensioni in cui veniva descritta la possibilità offerta dai gestori di potér, dopo aver lasciato la camera, utilizzare la piscina e poter utilizzare il parcheggio. Trattamento che ci aspettavamo visto che arrivati alle 23,00 di sera non abbiamo potuto sfruttare. Purtroppo ci siamo sentiti dire un secco no, senza neanche troppi giri di parole, perciò alle 10, 00 siamo andati via per cercare un altro parcheggio e poter riorganizzare la giornata. . Non ci torneremo sicuramente più.
