I booked the hostel through Agoda & upon arrival, I was shocked to hear from Onefam that they had to cancel my reservation due to their age range limit of 18-45 (I'm 50) which can only be found if you click on the "full description" link as the main booking page only indicated standard details, including "adults only" I was advised to go to a nearby hostel, Hostelscat BCN and assured they have ample space there. Hence, after carrying 35kg of luggage & equipment & checking in to Hostelscat BCN, I thought I could finally rest after a long journey. Just before midnight, I was awakened & told that my place had been previously booked so I had to vacate the room. I was also told Onefam often refers guests over to them. In the end, I had to spend the night sitting with my luggage. So who is to be accountable here? Agoda will just process the reservations. Onefam will just say the age range is in their policy, which to be honest, how many people will actually consciously click on every link in every search just to find hidden details (such as age range!) other than facilities & payment matters which is already on the main page?
