Calma House Rooms

My experience in this room was very disappointing. The water was cold, and the tap in the room made a lot of noise. The toilet was not clean, and after waiting a long time for it to be free, I went to take a shower — but the water started collecting in the tub instead of draining. The water was very cold, and because of that, I caught a fever and flu. I couldn’t even enjoy my trip because of this unpleasant experience.

Perfect location, cosy room, everything was perfect. Will be happy to come back here again. Bed was also super comfortable. Thank you!

Lage ideal inmitten der Altstadt, im Eingangsbereich des Hauses Bauarbeiten, Haustüre und Hoteleingangstüre nicht abgeschlossen, sodass jeder bis zur Zimmertüre vordringen könnte. Zimmertüren muss man leider zuschlagen, damit sie schließen, wenn man schlafen möchte ein Unding. Alles sauber, täglich frische Wäsche, Kaffeeautomat in Gemeinschaftsraum vorhanden, Ausstattung/Dekoration spärlich. Helles freundliches Zimmer, Zimmerfenster/Balkontüre zum Innenbereich des Blockes mit unmittelbarer Nähe zu den direkten Nachbarn, Zimmer nebenan kann über Balkon erreicht werden, Balkontüre bzw. Vorhänge müssen zugezogen werden wegen direkter Einsicht aufs Bett, Dusche sehr eng, Deckenventilator sehr leise, keine Klimaanlage, bei Temperaturen um 28 Grad nachts nicht ausreichend, Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, WLAN.

Logement avec un excellent emplacement, en plein cœur du quartier gothique. Nous avons fait la majorité de nos déplacements à pied. Quant au logement, le lit est très confortable, la salle de bain partagée est nettoyée tous les jours. La nuit il y a des cafards qui se promènent c’est également le cas dans la rue. Mais globalement tout s’est bien déroulé.

This place was completely misleading and felt like a scam. The room advertised on Booking looked nothing like what we received. It was supposed to have a nice city view, but in reality, there was a tiny, dirty 2-square-meter space covered in pigeon droppings — the so-called “Juliette balcony.” The view was of a neglected corner, not a city. We even encountered huge cockroaches in the room. I’ll attach photos below if it gonna let me. The smell in the room was unbearable. The bedding was full of hair and lint, and the bed had metal bars like a cage — it was disgusting. We didn’t even feel comfortable using the shower. If the property had uploaded real photos, we would never have booked even one night. The walls had signs of mold, and the door was old and shabby. Everything felt neglected and unhygienic.

THe best thing about the hotel is its location for the price you are paying. Marvin the hotel receptionist is really helpful and easily contactable. A bit tricky to find and in a quite old building, but if you are in the Jewish quarter and the amount you are paying you should expect that. But overall the Location is just amazing
